I am pleased to announce that Revd Andrew Royal RNR has been appointed as Area Chaplain for the Southern Area Sea Cadets, following a thorough interview and selection process with the Chaplaincy Executive and Cdr David Grindel RN (Area Officer).

Andrew is a United Reformed Church minister and brings a wealth of experience to this role, including participation in three Offshore trips, support for District Camps, and involvement in the National Trafalgar Parade. His commitment to chaplaincy and to the life of the Sea Cadets has been clearly demonstrated, and I am confident he will be a great asset to the Southern Area.

Andrew will continue in his role as Chaplain at Maidstone Unit, alongside his new responsibilities as Area Chaplain.

I am particularly happy to be handing over the role of Area Chaplain, which I have held since 2018. I know what a blessing it is to be alongside the amazing cadets and CFAVs of the Southern Area, and I do so with every confidence in Andrew as he takes on this ministry.

I commend Andrew to your prayers, and ask you to pray also for the cadets and volunteers he will serve as he begins this new chapter.
