🌊⚓ You're invited to Aylesford's Schools Summer Dementia Café on Thursday 10th July! ⚓🌊

This year's event has a fun nautical and beach theme, complete with a delicious afternoon tea. Hawaiian shirts are optional, but very much encouraged! 🌺☀️

We'll also be treated to performances from our wonderful students, along with entertainment from the fantastic Bearded Pluckers. 🎶

If you would like to join us, please confirm your attendance by contacting Lucy at [email protected]. Please let us know how many people will be attending and advise us of any dietary requirements.

We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming everyone back for what promises to be another wonderful, sell-out event. We can't wait to see you there! 💙

Free Home Energy support for people affected by dementia.

If you or someone you care for is living with dementia, you can access free, friendly home energy support through ADSS, who are working in partnership with SGN.

We’re here to help you keep your home safe, warm, and energy efficient.

Our Home Energy Service offers:

• Simple, practical advice to help you save energy and lower bills.
• Support with carbon monoxide safety and staying protected at home.
• Help signing up to the Priority Services Register for extra peace of mind.
• Guidance on spotting scams and staying safe.
• Connections to additional energy and benefits support.

You can get support whether you’re the person living with dementia or a carer - even if you live at different addresses. Our service is available across North Kent, West Kent, Medway, and Swale.

'A little understanding makes a big difference.'

This is the fifth thing we want everyone to know about dementia.

Dementia can be confusing and isolating. That’s why it’s important that everyone learns more about it.

Everyone’s experience of dementia is different but with a little understanding you can make the biggest difference. It could be as simple as waving to a neighbour or being patient in the shop queue. It’s just about
understanding and helping out where you can 💙
