Homes England are holding their latest public engagement event today, sharing progress on the Heathlands proposals over the last six months. How much has actually moved forward? Not much, if weโ€™re being honest.

If you have some time today, head down to see what they have to say and ask any questions you may have.

SOHL representatives will also be outside the front of the community centre between 2 and 4pm if you want to catch up with us.

Itโ€™s your community, so make your voice heard.

Houses after houses.

See the video provided by Homes England and Maidstone Borough Council of the destruction they plan of over 900 acres of greenfield land.

We joined BBC Radio Kent yesterday along with Helen Whately MP to discuss the petition Helen has just delivered to the Prime Minister, calling on him to stop the sprawl and save Kentโ€™s countryside.

Listen to what Helen and SOHL had to say.

Chairman of Lenham Parish Council, Cllr John Britt said:
โ€œOf course I agree with Stuart - but letโ€™s say he now agrees with me. These are the arguments that we, the people who oppose Heathlands, have been making since day one. I am glad he has seen sense.โ€

A council leader has called for a government-led pause on large-scale house-building over concerns developments may not have water supplies.

Letโ€™s hope the Government start to do something to stop the sprawl and save our countryside
