Winter Willow Wreath Workshop at RSPB Ynys-hir

Saturday 5th December 13:30-15:30

Celebrate the season with your own unique Winter Willow Wreath.
In this workshop you will learn how to make a wreath first from willow and then to adorn it with natural festive foliage and materials ready to take home and celebrate the season with.
Included in ticket are all materials and guidance.
Hot drink and mince pie.
Please wear warm clothing as we will be in out lovely Tractor Shed.

Some sightings highlights this week at RSPB Ynys-hir
With the hightides the saltmarsh and wetland area have been delighting visitors with a number of ducks, waders and geese.

Here's just a few highlights:
Grey plover
Bar-tailed godwit
Black-tailed godwit
Green sandpiper
Curlew
Lapwing
Goldeneye
Redshank
Wigeon

Birds of prey have included male Hen harrier, Marsh harrier, Peregrine

RSPB Ynys-hir Autumn Craft Fair.
This weekend come for a browse...
During the whole of October come and browse gifts from a selection of locally made crafts from Artisans in Wales in the stunning setting of RSPB Ynys-hir Reserve.
It's never to early to start Christmas shopping...
Ceramics, prints, textiles, jewellery, basketry and much more, find a perfect unique gift for someone special.
Open 10:00-16:00 Wednesdays-Sundays from 1st October to 1 November 2026
Entrance to the Visitor Centre and Craft Fair is FREE.
Why not make a day of it and enjoy our hides and trails whilst you are here, or indulge yourself with a delicious slice of homemade cake and fresh coffee.
