🐑👀 DAFAD DDU SPOTTED IN ABERYSTWYTH?!

We’ve received reports of a rather suspicious character making an appearance at the The Big Tribute Festival Aberystwyth … and we’re pretty sure we’ve seen them somewhere before! 🤔

Dressed head-to-toe in black, keeping a low profile amongst the crowds… could this really be the legendary Dafad Ddu enjoying a little downtime before the next adventure? 🐑🖤

Or is it simply an extremely committed festival-goer in fancy dress?! 😂

Nobody seems to know for sure…

One thing is certain — Dafad Ddu gets everywhere! 👀

Sources have reported a sighting of the Dafad Ddu on a sunbed in Fuertaventura this week. Data and footage is yet to be confirmed.... his/her identification remains unknown 👀🏁🏅

Aberdyfi's inaugural soap box derby event drew 8,000 spectators and raised £4,500 for local charities, including the Fire Fighters Charity and Aberdyfi Search & Rescue Team.

💛 Dafad Goch Charity Donations Announcement 💛

What started as an idea has turned into something truly incredible… and now we’re proud to share what it’s all been about 👇

Thanks to the unbelievable support from everyone who attended, took part, volunteered, and donated.

We have totalled up the money raised and paid all the invoices to make the event happen and we are delighted to confirm the following charity donations from the Dafad Goch Soap Box Derby 2026:

🔥 £1,000 – Fire Fighters Charity
🚑 £1,000 – Aberdyfi Search & Rescue Team
🎗️ £1,000 – Teenage Cancer Trust

🏫 £300 – Ysgol Uwchradd Tywyn
🏫 £300 – Ysgol Penybryn
🏫 £300 – Ysgol Craig y Deryn

⛪ £300 – St Peter’s Church
⛪ £300 – Presbyterian Church of Wales

This event brought 8,000 people into Aberdyfi, created an incredible atmosphere, and delivered a real boost to the community — but most importantly, it’s now making a real difference to these amazing causes ❤️

We couldn’t have done this without every single one of you.

From racers to volunteers, sponsors to spectators… thank you 🙌

We will be holding a presentation night to hand the cheques over to the charities and good causes in due course, keep your eyes peeled for a date in the coming months.

This is just the beginning 👀
