Fylde Sharks Disability Swimming Club Under the YMCA Fylde coast.

Fylde Sharks is a charity community club which uniquely offers 1-to-1 swimming lessons to disabled children up to the age of 16 years in the Fylde area with varying degrees of disability.

If you haven't seen, the Pool will be closing after this week for around 8-12 weeks.

Our next 2 SEND drop-in sessions will be Friday 28th November at Oak Tree family hub in St Annes, and Tuesday 9th December at Fleetwood Library.

Both sessions will be 9:30-11:30am, and are open to all parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities [SEND].

If you would like to know about updates for our families, or have views that you would like us to share with people who make decisions, please come and join us.

Miranda from sharks will be at st-annes along with Joan from lancashire parent carer forum and Jess I believe from SENDIAS. At least join us for a brew and a biscuit.

Sharks and otters are unfortunately losing one of our valued longtime volunteers.

Because of this we're looking for more volunteers if anybody is interested, the role is primarily completing the register and helping parents. Its flexible with help needed once every three weeks on saturdays 8.45am - 12.45 and monday evenings 7.30 - 8.30pm (no need to get wet in either role).

We're also open for people volunteering in the water if they have an interest in teaching in future.

A few weeks ago we had two swimmers leave ,one is leaving the area the other after achieving her gold badge has moved to competitive swimming at Blackpool polar bears, the best of luck to both of you ,and thanks for the gifts .
