In 2020, I lost my mum to breast cancer — a loss that will stay with me forever. Every pound raised is in her memory. 💗

Since then, I’ve been running events to raise money for Breast Cancer Now, a cause so close to our hearts.

A little update on the Charity Dressage Series 🐴

I’ve now packed up all the rosettes and test sheets, and they’ll be posted out to you shortly. You should receive them in the next couple of days 📬

Entries for Round 2 open again on 1st November. The closing deadline is 21st November at 6 pm.

Please remember there will be no extensions for this round. The judge is going on holiday, so all videos must be submitted by the deadline. Unfortunately, any videos received after 6 pm on 21st November won’t be able to be judged.

🐴 Round One is now closed! 🐴

Thank you to everyone who entered the first round of our online dressage series. The results will be released on 31st October, and Round Two will open on 1st November. While we wait, I wanted to share a little about why I started the series.

I’ve spent most of my life around horses and have enjoyed having a go at dressage myself. I’m also on the committee at Dean Forest Riding Club, so horses and helping people enjoy them have always been a big part of my life.

My mum loved coming to watch me compete in dressage on my beautiful thoroughbred mare, Diva. It was something she was so passionate about, and a really special thing we shared. Sadly, I lost her to breast cancer, and I wanted to find a way to raise money in her memory while sharing something she loved.

Dressage can feel a bit daunting, especially if you think you need all the smart show gear or lots of experience. I wanted this series to be about having a go — at whatever level feels right for you, in the gear you have, and in a friendly, encouraging setting. You don’t have to be perfect; you just have to give it a try.

That’s what this series means to me: celebrating our horses, building confidence, and raising money for a cause that’s very close to my heart. Thank you to everyone who has entered, supported, and helped make it happen. 💗

A quick reminder that entries for our online dressage must be in by 9pm on 24 October.

If you’d like to enter, please message us for an entry form. Once you’ve entered & we have recieved your payment, we’ll send you instructions on how to submit your video.

Please make sure your video:

• Is recorded in landscape
• Has sound
• Includes an introduction of the rider and horse before they enter the arena

Videos without sound, filmed in portrait, or without an introduction will not be accepted. Please check these requirements before submitting your video. 🐴

We’re starting to make plans for our Woods Charity Events Online Dressage Winter Series and we’d love to hear what you think! 💕🐴
We’re looking at 4 online competitions, starting in October, with an overall Championship for those completing all four rounds. We’re also thinking of introducing teams of 4, with the best 3 scores from each round counting towards the team total.
Most importantly, all profits from the series will be donated to Breast Cancer Now. 💗
So… would you be up for it? Would you enter individually, as part of a team, or maybe both? Let us know your thoughts below — we’d love to see how much interest there is before we get everything underway! 🥰🐴💗

💗💜 WHAT AN AMAZING DAY! 💜💗
A massive THANK YOU to everyone who came along and supported our Charity Dressage Show today, run by Woods Charity Events, Dean Forest Riding Club and Little Allaston Farm, raising money for two wonderful charities — Breast Cancer Now and Dementia UK.
We have been completely overwhelmed by the support. Seeing so many smiling faces, everyone enjoying themselves and getting behind these two amazing charities made all the hard work so worthwhile. 🥰
We are absolutely thrilled to say that just from the raffle and refreshments alone, we raised an incredible £1,975! 🤩
And we’re not finished yet! We still have more money and payments to come in, so once everything has been counted and finalised, we will announce the full amount raised at the end of the week, which will be shared between Breast Cancer Now and Dementia UK. 💗💜
To everyone who entered, volunteered, donated prizes, baked cakes, bought raffle tickets, helped behind the scenes or simply came along to support us — THANK YOU.
The generosity and support has been absolutely incredible, and seeing everybody’s smiling faces today was just wonderful.
What a fantastic day for two very special charities. Thank you so, so much everyone! 💗💜
