Sharing some useful information for anyone in the local community who is yet to get their flu or COVID-19 jab this autumn. 💙

The NHS Roving Healthcare Unit is offering free flu and COVID-19 vaccinations on a walk-in basis across Leicestershire over the coming days, with no appointment needed. They are particularly keen to reach anyone with long-term health conditions or a weakened immune system, including people receiving cancer treatment, taking long-term steroids, living with HIV or who have had a transplant. If you are unsure whether you are eligible, the team on the unit can help check for you.

One of the dates includes Loughborough Market on Wednesday 22nd October, 8:30am to 12:30pm — so nice and local for many of you.

We are so excited to announce that Chaplins Gold Pantos are bringing Aladdin to Gorse Covert Community Centre this December! A full children’s pantomime with a cast of top performers right here in North Loughborough — what a brilliant way to kick off the festive season.

We are sharing this on behalf of Loughborough University, who are looking for participants to take part in an interesting research study. 🔬

Researchers are investigating how body composition and metabolic function may influence the way people respond to their annual flu vaccine. If you are planning to have your flu jab this season, you could be eligible to take part and earn up to £60 in vouchers for your time.

The total time commitment is just 2 to 2.5 hours spread over 4 months, across three visits to the research labs at Loughborough University.

Forever Active is a circuit style exercise class designed to help improve your mobility, strength, balance and general wellbeing. It is gentle enough for anyone to enjoy and a brilliant way to keep moving and feel good right here in North Loughborough.
