Screens can be helpful, especially on busy days.

But children also need time for movement, play, boredom, conversation, and connection.

Small changes can help:
• Create screen-free moments during meals
• Offer simple play before turning on a device
• Keep bedtime routines calm
• Watch together when possible
• Use screens as a tool, not the whole routine

Hub Support shares free parenting resources that help families build healthier habits in ways that feel realistic.

Small steps can make family life feel more balanced.

Children often borrow our calm before they can find their own.

When a child is upset, overwhelmed, or acting out, a parent’s tone, body language, and response can help them feel safer.

This doesn’t mean staying calm is always easy.

It means parents deserve support too.

Hub Support provides free digital resources to help families understand emotions, improve communication, and create more settled moments at home.

Because supporting your child starts with supporting yourself.

After all it’s what you have taught them.

Here’s what to do instead 👇

PAUSE!

Pause before you react. Almost nothing is an emergency.

Your job as a parent has very little to do with your child and everything to do with you.

You model self regulation when you are having big emotions so your kids learn how to regulate when they are having big emotions.

You demonstrate self control over your voice, words and actions so your child can learn how to control their voice, words and actions.

90% of parenting is positive role modelling. Get that sorted for yourself and watch your child have it sorted as well.

💡Start Tummy Time Early👶

Hey parents! Did you know that tummy time can start as early as the newborn stage? 🤱

But keep in mind, the duration should grow with your baby’s age. Here are some simple guidelines to help you get started!

💡 Why tummy time matters, it helps to:
✅ Build strong muscles for rolling, sitting, and crawling
✅ Support healthy brain development
✅ Prevent flat head syndrome (plagiocephaly)
✅ Strengthen arms and upper body for better support

⚠️ Quick tips for safe tummy time:
✔ Always practice during awake time (never when baby is sleeping)
✔ Start with just 1–2 minutes at a time, then gradually increase
✔ Stay close and supervise at all times

If your baby gets fussy, take a break and try again later, go at their pace 🤍

My mom says, "Time to get ready for bed." But I'm making cappuccinos for my dolls. Teddy doesn't have one yet. So I keep playing.

My mom says, "Be a big girl and get going."

I don't want to be a big girl.

I cry because Teddy still needs his cappuccino.

My mom says, "I don't have time for a tantrum."

But this isn't defiance.

It's a 2-year-old brain doing exactly what you'd expect.

When you see "misbehavior" as a good kid having a hard time, it's easier to stay calm and respond with empathy.

That's the heart of Big-Hearted Parenting.
