At SWIM, we support individuals from global majority heritage who are facing homelessness, mental health challenges, substance misuse and other barriers. Getting access to the right finance meant we could grow that support and reach more people when it matters most.

In this video, our CEO Peter Merrifield talks about how working with helped us expand our impact and keep providing life-changing support across our community.

Yesterday, SWIM hit the streets of Brixton for our Criminal Justice Awareness Day.

We spoke directly with the community — because so many of us know someone, a friend or family member, currently in prison. We wanted people to know: support is out there, and you don’t have to face it alone.

Church pastors and professionals joined us too, ready to listen and point people toward the right help.

This week, SWIM celebrated the graduation of our PACT groups from Camden, Islington and Hackney with a special visit to Tate Modern to experience the powerful Nigerian Modernism exhibition.

The group explored the rich history of Nigerian artists who challenged boundaries and redefined creativity before and after Nigeria’s independence in 1960.

Through painting, sculpture, textiles and poetry, participants engaged with inspiring works from artists including Ben Enwonwu, El Anatsui and Ladi Kwali.
The visit was a chance to celebrate growth, connection, creativity and the achievements of everyone who completed the programme.

A huge well done to all participants across the Camden, Islington and Hackney cohorts, your commitment, engagement and hard work throughout the programme has been incredible to see. 👏
