We have some incredible news, EchoVibe HUB has been shortlisted for a Tesco Grant to launch our brand-new pilot project, Teen Café, right here at the Barham Park Community Complex!

But to make this a reality, we need YOUR help! 💙

🥪 What is Teen Café?
It is a 6-week after-school café dedicated to tackling teen food insecurity. It provides a safe, welcoming space for 15 to 17-year-olds to socialise, play games, and get a much-needed second guaranteed meal of the day.

🧠 Why does it matter?
This is the most crucial time in a young person’s life as they study for their GCSEs and A-Level/BTEC qualifications. Too often, this age group only gets one guaranteed meal a day at lunchtime, which simply isn't enough to help them focus. They need fuel to study, and we want to provide it!

💚 Celebrating 15 Years of CVS Brent & Looking to the Future

On the 30th of July, EchoVibe HUB had the honour of attending the 15-year celebration and conclusion of CVS Brent at the Big Green Hub in Wembley. Surrounded by local leaders, including Brent Council Leader Cllr Muhammed Butt and Cllr Angela Joyce De Souza representing Wembley Hill ward, as well as our wonderful VCSE sector partners, it was a day of heartfelt reflection.

The core message of the speeches was powerful: while CVS Brent has championed community development and achieved incredible things since 2011, true growth means evolving. To best serve Brent’s voluntary and community sector today, things need to change. As Cllr Butt emphasized, having open conversations about what is not working is just as important as celebrating what is.

We also celebrated amazing milestones like the We Wear Heritage project. EchoVibe HUB wants to extend a massive, personal thank you to the people who made such a difference to our own journey:

🤝Ibrahim Ansari, for being a constant force of support and communication.

🌟Marika Mason, the absolute heart and soul of We Wear Heritage, and an incredible mentor to us during our Threads of Traditions project.

🚀Erim Metto, for bringing such drive, enthusiasm, and commitment to his role as CEO.

A huge congratulations to all the trustees and representatives who received appreciation awards for their tireless work!

While we are saddened to see CVS Brent conclude in its current format, we are incredibly enthusiastic about what comes next. Sometimes, change is exactly what is needed to bring positive, refreshing ideas to our communities. Thank you, CVS Brent, for your years of guidance and support! 🌟

What a way to kick off the summer! ☀️🥳

Saturday’s Community Coffee & Conversations was an absolute blast. It was wonderful to see so many people from the local area come together and bring such brilliant energy!

Everyone got stuck right in from the moment they walked through the door. Our legendary barista coffee, sweet ice lollies, and the ultimate crowd-favourite coconut slushies kept everyone cool while the competition heated up! 🍧☕️🌴

And when we say heated up, we mean it: who knew our community was this competitive?! 🎲🔥 The grand reveal of our brand-new game was a massive hit, and it brought out everyone’s inner champion. It was beautiful to see neighbours becoming fast friends, with some people even learning to play classic board games for the very first time. 🤝💙

It was the most awesome, friendly, and vibrant start to the summer holidays we could have ever asked for. Thank you to everyone who came down, brought their A-game, and made the afternoon so special!

Wow, what an incredible afternoon! Saturday, 27th June was truly special at our Community Coffee & Conversations: Holistic Wellness and Saturday Social! ☕️☀️🔮

With the summer heat in full swing, we opened our doors to welcome families and community members of all ages into our beautifully cool HUB. It was the perfect escape from the sun!

The wonderful Amira Calinescu worked her absolute charm, bringing a beautiful sense of calm to the room through her gentle, accessible wellbeing sessions. From crystal awareness and grounding breathwork to relaxing Reiki taster sessions, everyone left feeling completely refreshed and centered. ✨🧘‍♀️

Meanwhile, our games area was buzzing! We added Snakes and Ladders and Guess Who to our collection this week, and they were a massive hit with the children, young people, and families. 🎲🕵️‍♂️

As for the refreshments? They went down an absolute treat! Alongside our signature barista-quality coffee, biscuits, and ice lollies, our slushies stole the show. Made with our very own secret recipe, they quickly became famous across Barham Park, drawing new faces right to our doorstep! 🍧🔥
