200 trees planted at Dargavel! 🌱🌳

Our delivery partners, Eadha Enterprises and NatureFix, had a fantastic session this week with the ESOL group from Auchenharvie at Dargavel.

Together, they planted an incredible 200 trees! 🌳 The group were absolutely brilliant, getting stuck in and helping make a real difference for nature and the local environment. Every tree planted is a step towards a greener future! 🌍

Not only this, the session also sparked some creativity, with the group making autumnal and nature-inspired artwork celebrating trees and the natural world. 💚

A huge thank you to everyone involved for their enthusiasm and hard work.

We’ve taken a little break over the October holidays, but we’re back this week and looking forward to preparing for our upcoming Climate Action workshop at Paisley Library.

📆 Wednesday 28th October, 11am - 1pm.

The workshop is part of RenCAN Learn, a local climate action programme co-created with community groups and organisations across Renfrewshire. It will be facilitated by Scott Duncan, an experienced community development practitioner who will guide the session in a friendly, practical way - starting from where you are at.

This session is open to everyone, whether you're curious or already involved in climate action, you're warmly welcomed to join us.

Hub Manager, Mike Callaghan, went up to the excellent Lapwing Lodge, last Wednesday, to discuss the impact RenCAN is having in Renfrewshire, with the Cabinet Secretary for Climate Action and Rural Affairs, Gillian Martin.

It was also great to see network members Tannahill Centre and Own Yer Bike there too.
