Today we focus on the skills that cadets learn, develop and put into practice that they can use in later life.

This could be skills such as leadership, working as part of team and problem solving, all the way to the hands on skills learned doing activities such as STEM, First Aid and other elements of the progressive training syllabus.

During a cadets career in the RAFAC, they not only build their knowledge, they build their confidence. A true life skill.

Today is all about our amazing Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs)

With full time jobs, their own lives and interests, they put their all into developing the youth of today into the adults of tomorrow.

They deliver the cadet experience and pick up valuable skills and qualifications themselves along the way!

Today is all about cadets in the community

We are incredibly proud to be out and about in our local community throughout the year, whether that be fundraising for the squadron or taking part in annual activities such as wings appeal, poppy appeal and armed forces day.

To the amazing people of Leigh, thank you.

Thank you for your countless donations, your wonderful stories and the time you have for our amazing cadets, to stop and talk to them during your busy days.

Our OC, Flt Lt Smith, is getting his running shoes on and taking part in the Manchester Half Marathon on 4th October to raise funds for the squadron.

Five cadets from 316 took to the skies on Friday at 10 AEF at RAF Woodvale

The weather was on their side and they were able to experience aerobatics, taking control of the aircraft and learning new manoeuvres at the hands of a Grob Tutor u

Last Saturday (29th august) saw the squadron attend the The Polish Air Force Memorial Committee annual memorial parade at RAF Northolt.

It was a great honor for our cadets to represent the squadron and one which is deeply important.
