It was great meeting so many people, sharing the work we do, and meeting the new Lord Mayor too, with a bit of fun along the way.

We’ve got some exciting news — our Community Garden is now on a new day.

Join us every Tuesday, 11am–1pm at BNCHA.
Whether you’ve been before or are thinking of coming along for the first time, everyone is welcome. It’s a relaxed space where we grow herbs, vegetables and flowers together, have a chat, and enjoy being outdoors. No experience needed.

Today’s EKTA session was all about food, culture, and conversation 🥰

The room was filled with laughter, stories, and an incredible spread of dishes, with everyone bringing something that reflects their culture and home. The effort people made was just beautiful, so many different flavours and varieties, all shared so generously.

We had such a lovely mix of moments... lots of laughter and light-hearted chats, but also some deeper conversations where people felt able to open up.

We were also joined by the A Germ's Journey team, who joined in the spirit of the day and brought along a dish to share too 😊 Their presence sparked lots of discussion, which everyone really enjoyed.

What stood out most was the feeling in the room... people connecting, looking out for one another, and just caring. Over time, EKTA is becoming more than a group… it’s starting to feel like a little family. And that’s exactly what EKTA is about... unity 💜

The sun is out, the Food Hub is buzzing... such a lovely atmosphere with people coming together, connecting, and supporting one another, you can really feel that sense of spring in the air.

A big thank you to A Germ's Journey for joining us and sharing such helpful advice and information. It was great to see so many people stopping by, getting involved, and taking something positive away.
