A few pictures from yesterday’s Smart Spending and Savings event 😊

Thank you to everyone who came along and to all the agencies who joined us, shared advice and took the time to talk to people about the support available.

We decorated salt dough divas and picked up some top money-saving tips from those attending too. It was lovely to have people sharing what works for them — we can all learn something from each other!

Hopefully everyone went home with something useful, whether that was a new idea, some advice or knowing who to turn to when they need a bit of support.

A big thank you to Krishna and the team at the Centre for Ethnic Health Research, University of Leicester, for working with us to put the afternoon together as part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science. And thank you to our staff and volunteers for helping make it happen.

Our Food Hub is open every Wednesday from 10-1pm. As well as food , we have many organisations that come in to support people. Today people can get support from the Community Advocacy Project University of Leicester as well as Climate Ready Leicester who provide practical advice and grants to help our food hub visitors lower their home energy bills, insulate their properties, and access local warmth funding.

From help with energy and water bills to eating well on a budget and growing your own food—our **Smart Spending and Savings** event brings useful advice together under one roof.

Bring your questions, bring the family and pick up ideas you can use at home. There’ll be children’s activities, refreshments and a raffle too! ☕🌱

BNCHA is joining forces with the **Centre for Ethnic Health Research at the University of Leicester** for an afternoon of practical support and friendly conversations, as part of the **ESRC Festival of Social Science**. Interpreters will be available.

It’s getting colder, but our garden group is still growing!

We’ve now got a mix of **indoor and outdoor activities**, so you don’t have to brave the cold to join in!

From making lavender bags to getting creative with flowers and wreaths, there’s plenty to enjoy — with good company along the way.

No gardening experience needed. Come along, try something new and bring a friend!

We recently welcomed Belgrave Neighbourhood Co-operative Housing Association BNCHA as a new member to Team Tpas! BNCHA Executive Chair & Chief Executive Officer, Jaimini Bharakhada, said this about becoming a Tpas member;
