A huge thank you to the Andrews Family for kindly hosting our annual Summer Social — and to everyone who came along to make it such a brilliant evening!

There was sunshine, plenty of pizza from The Pizza Box, lots of catching up, and just the right amount of competitive spirit on the rounders pitch… 👀🥎

It was especially lovely to see so many past and present members together. A perfect summer evening with great company, good food and questionable sporting ability! 😂

Just one final tour this evening before we turn our attention to next week’s Club AGM.

We are absolutely over the moon with the success of our Quiz & Chips Night! 🥳
It was a fantastic evening filled with laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of brilliant quizzing.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped create such a fun and welcoming atmosphere. We’d also like to thank The Granary for hosting us, and a special thank you to all the local businesses, parents, and supporters of the club who generously donated our amazing raffle and quiz prizes – your support means so much!
We managed to raise a grand total of £672!!
Congratulations to Pam’s People, who were crowned our Quiz Night champions! 🏆 They took home first prize – a lovely bottle of rosé wine each, kindly donated by Verzon House . 🍷

We had the pleasure of attending a fantastic farm tour hosted by Agrii at Gatley Farms last week.
The evening began with a short talk and practical demonstration on bolusing sheep, along with a showcase of the Steve Jones Conveyors.

From there, we visited the impressive potato store and grading facilities before climbing aboard the trailers for a guided tour around the estate. Along the way, we explored wheat trials, gained valuable agronomy insights, heard the latest SFI updates, and learned about the farm’s exciting diversification into peony growing - a brilliant example of British-grown flowers with a unique selling point.

To round off the evening, Farm Manager James talked us through the annual breeding and finishing calendar of their highly successful beef herd.

It was incredible how much useful and insightful information was packed into just a few hours. A truly inspiring and enjoyable tour - thank you to Agrii and everyone at Gatley Farms for such a great evening!

Still smiling as we look back on a fantastic weekend at the Royal Three Counties Show, where six Ledbury members proudly represented Herefordshire!
We couldn’t be prouder to see our members competing at such a high level, and making their mark among some tough competition.
A huge congratulations to everyone involved:
🏆 The boys raced their way to 1st place in the obstacle race
📸 Alice snapped up 3rd place in Senior Photography
🍰 Victoria baked up a storm to achieve 4th place in the Senior Bake-Off
📷 Louise captured 4th place in Intermediate Photography
Not a bad haul of place cards for Team Ledbury! 💚

Think you’ve got the answers? Put your knowledge to the test at Ledbury YFC’s Charity Quiz Night!

🗓️ Friday 26th June
⏰ 7pm for a 7.30pm start
📍 The Granary, Green Farm, Felton, HR1 3PH
👥 Teams of up to 6 people
💷 £15 per person – includes fish & chips
🍻 Bar open throughout the evening

Expect a quiz-tastic evening packed with brain-teasing questions, great food, a raffle, and prizes up for grabs. It’s a quiz you won’t want to pass on!🏆

All funds raised will support our two chosen charities for the year:

❤️ The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kidney Patients Association

April has brought us the start of the rally competition season!

We began the month with a Stock judging practice hosted by the Simcock Family, with chance to glance at some beef, sheep and pigs! 🐄🐑🐖
This got us well prepped for the official Stock Judging Competition held on Sunday 12th April over at Townsend Farm, Orleton. We had 5 members compete in 8 classes across the board in senior, intermediate and junior!
We are so proud of our first time competing members for getting stuck in and having a go, practice makes perfect!! ⭐️

Last weekend we competed at Pre-Rally.
Entering into the Cube Exhibit to the theme ‘Our Favourite Place’. We also competed in two of the Farm Machinery Skills classes and Guess the National Anthem. We had a lovely day spent in the sun, getting geared up for Rally Day.

Next up is Herefordshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs RALLY!!!

March Recap!

We started March off with a round of UV mini golf at Matrix Hereford, with a good turnout of seniors and juniors - it was a glowing success, and we definitely par-tee’d the night away! ⛳️🏌️

Next up was our Monthly Tour: at Tallis Amos Group in Leominster. Teamed up with Lugg Valley Young Farmers Club , we had such a fun evening with a detailed discussion on what they get up to on a daily basis, alongside a shop and workshop tour. TAG is a major UK dealer specializing in agricultural, turf, and residential machinery, with a strong focus on John Deere Machinery, alongside multiple brands such as Votex, Albutt and Husqvana.
Thank you so much to Tom and the gang for giving us an insightful evening, topped off with a trip to the pub! 💚🚜🍺

We finished off the month by supporting Herefordshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs at their Three Counties Rugby match against Worcestershire. It was great to see Tom and Andrew from Ledbury playing with the county! 🏉🏟️
