🏖️ Calling All Families! Help to Build Our Summer Hampers! 🏖️
After the huge success of our Christmas Rainbow Hampers, FoLPS are bringing them back — with a sunny summer twist!

Each year group has been given a specific summer‑themed category to collect. All donations will be combined to create the ultimate Summer Survival Kit Hampers, ready to be raffled off at the Summer Fiesta on 1st July.

📦 Collection boxes will be outside classrooms before and after school.
🗓️ Please send items in by Friday 26th June.

🎁 Class Categories & Ideas
Reception — Summer Snacks
Crisps, popcorn, cereal bars, mini biscuits, marshmallows, fruit winders

Year 1 — Boredom Busters
Summer books, sticker books, activity pads, puzzles, colouring sets, travel games, crafts

Year 2 — Sunshine Essentials
Sun cream, after‑sun, SPF lip balm, cooling sprays, sunglasses, hand fans, reusable bottles, picnic bits

Year 3 — Outdoor Games & Fun
Bubbles, chalk, frisbees, skipping ropes, water pistols, beach balls, mini garden games, kites

Year 4 — Summer Drinks
Fizzy cans, squash, juice boxes, cider, beer, premixed cans, wine, prosecco

💛 Got something useful that isn’t in your category? Pop it in anyway — every item helps make the hampers even better.

🎟️ Raffle tickets will be coming home soon for children to sell to family and friends, helping us raise even more for the school.

🌞 Summer Fiesta – Volunteers Needed! 🌞Weds 1st July 3.00-5.00 pm

We’re busy getting everything ready for our Summer Fiesta, and to make the event happen for the children we really do need volunteers.

We've set up a quick Google Form so you can add your details easily. It only takes a minute, and it helps us organise the volunteer WhatsApp group (very limited messages — just essential info before and on the day).

🍦 FREEZY FRIDAYS ARE BACK! 🍦
We’re excited to announce that Freezy Fridays return THIS FRIDAY and will run every week until the end of term.
Join us at school pick‑up for a delicious end‑of‑week treat!

We’ll be selling ice creams and lollies for £1.00 each, from 3:15 – 3:30 PM at the school gates.

💳 Card payments now accepted on our SumUp machines
💰 Cash also welcome – correct change appreciated
🎉 All proceeds go directly back into supporting our school and children

🌟 If your child is in after‑school club:
Please send £1 in a named envelope and hand it to their teacher on Friday morning.

🌞 Save the Date — Summer Fiesta! 🌞
FoLPS will be hosting our Summer Fiesta on Wednesday 1st July, 3.15–5.00pm, straight after Sports Day.

Join us for an afternoon of fun and games as we raise money for our school’s outdoor area. More details to follow.

In order for us to be able to run the event we need support from our amazing families. Are you able to do any of the following:

• Run a stall — We provide everything; we just need friendly faces on the day.
• Help with a game — Including the Human Fruit Machine, Beat the Goalie and Soak the Teacher.
• Lend a large BBQ — If you have access to one or know an organisation who might loan one.
• Donate a raffle prize — If you own a business, or your workplace could offer a prize, service or gift voucher, we’d be incredibly grateful.
• Create a family‑run stall — Got a fun idea? Families can design and run their own game to help raise money for the school (children must be accompanied by an adult).

😁🏆🌟 Family Bingo Success 🌟🏆😁
A big thanks to everyone who came and supported our family bingo event a couple of weeks ago! We had a fabulous evening and are pleased to announce that we raised an awesome £351.09!

Thanks to everyone who donated a raffle prize and Community Champion in the Launceston Store for our line prizes. A special shout out to our fantastic FoLPS volunteers and the staff who helped on the night! Look out for more events coming soon.

🎩✨ We raised £170! ✨🎩

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our World Book Day Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. We had such a lovely afternoon, and it was wonderful to see the children enjoying the stories, crafts, and all the fun. Your support helps us raise vital funds for our school community, and we’re so grateful.

Thank you to everyone who donated bakes to our cake sale — they were very much appreciated and went down a treat. A big thanks to Nanny Ali Books for joining us and all the staff who supported us.

A big well done to everyone who took part in our competitions. The entries were outstanding, and our judges had a very difficult task choosing the winners. In the end, they selected Sebby and Maks — congratulations to you both.

And a special shout‑out to Mrs Branch, who guessed the correct number of sweets in the jar and is now the proud owner of a very large jar of sweets. Enjoy!
