Hi all, hope you are well and looking forward to Lanimers and the local Gala Days that are coming up.
As some of you may be aware 7 of us from The Lanark & District Round Table completed the Glasgow KiltWalk a few weeks ago in aid of The Lanarkshire Cancer Care Trust.
We managed to raise a grand total of just over £5,000.00 for this wonderful charity that help so many people going through the struggles of cancer. Thank you to everyone that donated to this, it’s much appreciated by all of us and the charity and especially everyone that this money will help.
We are looking forward to more challenges coming up that will help us raise more money for local worthy causes and I’ll keep you updated on these events and how (if you are able) to donate.

We are all local guys trying to help improve our local community through fundraising and holding events, we also use our own time to help out in other organisations events. It’s very rewarding and we have lots of fun doing it.

KILTWALK 2026: -

Hello Everyone,
We hope you are all well and enjoying the sunny weather.

7 of us at The Lanark & District Round Table are undertaking the Big Stroll at this years Glasgow Kiltwalk tomorrow in aid of a fantastic worthy local charity called The Lanarkshire Cancer Care Trust.
As you all know 1 in 2 people are affected by cancer in their lifetimes and it's charities like this one that we all might need to rely on one day.
The Lanark & District Round Table take time out of our lives all year round to try and improve our local community by raising money, hosting events and helping out. We can then donate the money we raise to local causes which in turn benefits everyone in the community.

Hi All,

Hope all of our followers are doing well.

I just thought I would give you an update on what The Lanark & District Round Table have been up to this past year. I'll keep this one brief and will expand on future posts on some of the great outcomes that the money we have been able to donate to worthy local causes has made to them and to the community.

The Lanark & District Round Table are local people of all ages who donate their own time and effort to help out and make the local community a better place. We do this by organising events, raising money (which we can then donate to worthy causes) and also give our personal time up to help out in areas that need us. It is such a rewarding experience and we also have a great laugh doing it.

The following is just a few of the many donations we have been able to make this past year. We have been able to donate money to Kit For Kids, The Clydesdale Foodbank, Lanark In Bloom, Forth Primary School (to help fund their Polytunnel which helps the children to grow their own fruit & vegetables). Wellriggs Ecology & Outdoor Learning Ltd, who teach outdoor skills to children, The Café Of Hope who have helped many families that are struggling in the local community.

We also organise and help out in great local events, like our fabulous annual fireworks display which is getting bigger and better every year. We love working along side The Lanark boxing club to help organise their annual boxing home show which raises a lot of money which can be donated to worthy causes. We donated our personal time to Ridgepark House Care Home (Scottish Autism) to clear an overgrown garden area that the residents couldn't utilise anymore and now it's safe for them to enjoy this amazing space again.

The above is just a few things we have been up to in the past year and we are all looking forward to seeing what this year will bring.

Thank you so much to the lanark boxing club and the visiting clubs, coaches, staff, servers, cooks, compare and especially everyone who took the time to come out and support this amazing night. We at The Lanark & District Round Table are so proud to help Lanark boxing club make this night so special for the local community and also contribute to both our charity funds which can be distributed to local worthy causes. What a Home show it was.

Thanks to the Lanark boxing club, they make this such an amazing event every year and we’re very proud to be a part of it with them. The night helps us raise money for worthy local causes.
