Such an honour to be invited to the Royal Garden Party At Holyrood Palace on Tuesday.
The food bank was represented by Liz, Thelma, Ian and Chris, and we were delighted to be joined by Gayle and Linda from 1st Carstairs Girls Brigade.
Thanks to Ian Brown for arranging our transport adding a special touch to a fantastic afternoon.

Carluke Gala day on Saturday and these lovely ladies from Carluke High School and our driver, Steven, did a great job helping collect cash. They raised £217.38! Well done and thank you to everyone who donated.

On Friday, Carluke High School arranged a dress-down football World Cup day to raise money for Clydesdale Food Bank. The event made national news! ITV's Good Morning Britain team filmed and broadcast live during the show. The pupils (and staff!) arrived for 6am and had a great time, singing their hearts out. Some of the score predictions were perhaps a little optimistic, but it was a lot of fun.
The collection raised £469.81 which was wonderful. Huge thanks to you all!

Last Thursday, the intrepid pupils from Carluke Primary School braved the pouring rain to deliver this wonderful collection of food to us.

HELP!!!

We are looking for some extra volunteer drivers particularly for the summer months to allow our regular drivers a well deserved break.
You need to be:-
Aged 30 to 72
Been driving for at least 3 years.
Have a clean driving license
Physically fit to deal with the food boxes.
Willing to drive from Carluke to any where in Clydesdale.
Free on some weekdays from 10am

Also need some extra "wingmen" who go out with the drivers to help with the deliveries.
They need to be:-
Physically fit to deal with the food boxes.
Free on some weekdays from 10am. No age restriction.

Not forgetting some packers to make up the food packs ready to go out on the vans.
From 9.am - 12 noon. No age restriction.

In all cases you may only be needed a few times over the summer.

Our old cabins are leaking and today part of the ceiling has come down. We can now see daylight through the roof. If water continues to get in, other bits of ceiling will come down too.
We are hunting for funding £15,000) to replace these but as a temporary measure, does any local business have tarpualins (20 ft long ) that could be secured over the roof.
