Knaresborough Rotary President Deborah Wilson visited the Artizan International Cafe in Harrogate to present a cheque for £300 to CEO Liz Cluderay and Operations and Finance Officer Sarah Davis. The money was raised at a Rotary Coffee morning at Gracious Street Methodist Church in Knaresborough and follows a previous donation of £500 from a talk given by Lucy Adlington in March. Artizan International creates accessible opportunities for disabled people. The Harrogate centre provides therapeutic arts and crafts workshops and workplace skill training opportunities for over 40 people with disabilities.

We are delighted to confirm that the Happy Wanderers Ambulance Organisation took delivery of their new Renault Master eleven-seater and wheel-chair adapted mini-bus on
May 1st 2026.
We are absolutely thrilled with this new vehicle and it is already in high demand with many of the forty-three local charities and community groups that we support in our area. Costing just over £58,000 our mini-bus is specially adapted to enable us to transport people who have to use wheelchairs and is fitted with a fully electric lift. We would again like to offer our sincere thanks to the Knaresborough Rotary Club for the
significant donation that enabled us to acquire this vehicle.
We hope you are as impressed as we are with the picture we have sent with this note. We have also made reference to your support on our website. The Happy Wanderers are now in their 68th year of providing transport help to older and
disabled people and it is the generous support and encouragement from community group and trusts like Knaresborough Rotary Club that allow us to continue our much needed and greatly valued support to so many older and disabled people.
Thank-you once again, your support is invaluable and will never be taken for granted.
