Harrogate, Craven & Selby Young Carers We are the official commissioned Young Carers service working in partnership with NYCC

We help and support Young Carers who are looking after or helping to look after parents, siblings, grandparents or carers. We carry out the statutory assessments for NYCC and then provide one to one’s, group work and activities. We also offer the following:

Skills for success – this is to help 15+ with gaining employment, we offer workshops to help with writing CV’s, and preparing for interviews

. Fujistu – offers a starter pack to Young Carers with lots of items to prepare for school such as pencil case, pens, note books and also a range of toiletries. We carry out a range of activities for all different age groups such as:

Arts bank- a group of Young Carers had the chance to express what they would want to change if they were king/queen for the day, all this was expressed through art. Fly high – an opportunity for Young Carers to fly high in a plane, and enjoy experiences they may normally not get the chance to do. Planet sport – this is a residential sports holiday to give Young carers a chance to make new friends and have enjoy a variety of different sporting activities.
