There will be a Bus Transport Roundtable in Blair Atholl Village Hall on Friday, 25 September 2026 at 2.15pm.

A representative from our local government constituency will host the event which will offer a forum where residents can raise concerns and discuss potential improvements to local bus services. Representatives of Killiecrankie Fincastle & Tummel Community Council and of Blair Atholl and Struan Community Council will make short presentations on transport issues that affect the local community.

So we are always asked if we’ve been busy , so far this week yes , a RTC on Tuesday with Killin Fire Station and a AFA today with Blairgowrie Fire Station 🚒

At Rannoch we have put so much into wildfire prevention with out patrols in conjunction with our partners it’s good to see our Chief Officer is of the same opinion .
We’re not out there for fun the troops give up their family time to do these patrols just to try and stop such incidents and curb other issues .

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Chief Officer Stuart Stevens warns that wildfire prevention and preparedness must become a national priority.

He issues the warning while also acknowledging the massive effort involved in tackling the wildfire which affected large areas of the Cairngorms National Park and lasted for more than a month.

Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after a 62 year old man died following a crash on the A9 near Dunkeld.

Anyone who saw the white Toyota Hilux before the crash is also being asked to come forward.
