Hey everyone, Charlie here ❤️
Most of you will know that I lost my beautiful girl, Penny, one year ago today. She was mine and Joe’s first baby and our absolute world. Losing her was incredibly hard, but fostering, volunteering in rescue, and of course our own cats have helped us more than I can put into words.
To honour Penny’s legacy, we’ve decided to organise a Rainbow Bridge Walk 🌈 or crawl in my case.. 🤣😬
We’re currently waiting to confirm dates and permissions, as I naively thought you could just walk across the bridge! For organised events, permission is needed, so we’re working on that now.
At this stage, I’m just trying to gauge interest and get a rough idea of numbers. Would you be interested in joining us for a sponsored walk across the bridge in memory of all our beloved pets who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge?
We’re hoping to hold the event in late July or August.
Our ideas so far include:
🌈 A small registration fee of £3/£5 per adult
🎁 Children go free and will receive a small goodie bag
👕 Bright colours encouraged to celebrate the lives of our furry friends
📋 Sponsor forms available for anyone who would like to raise extra funds
💷 Suggested sponsorship target of £10 per adult (no minimum for children)
Penny adored her cat siblings, so it feels especially fitting to raise money for cats like Ham, Mamma Penny, and all of Harley’s cats who need our help.
