Huge congratulations to FS Lawrence and Sgt Brown on successfully completing their MOI assessments and earning their Instructional Technique lanyards! ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ–๏ธ

Over the past few months, both have worked incredibly hard developing their confidence, communication and leadership skills through the Method of Instruction course. From learning how to structure and deliver lessons, to practising voice projection, demonstrations, questioning techniques and classroom control, theyโ€™ve put in countless hours of preparation and practice.

Their final assessments involved planning and delivering instructional lessons under pressure, demonstrating clear communication, professionalism and the ability to engage and teach others effectively โ€” all skills essential to being a strong NCO within the RAF Air Cadets.

A well-earned achievement and a testament to the dedication and effort both have shown throughout their training. Weโ€™re proud to see them join the squadronโ€™s qualified instructors! ๐Ÿ’™

We are incredibly proud of the cadets and staff who represented the Wing and Region this weekend, bringing home an impressive haul of medals and trophies.

Their shooting during the competition was fantastic as well as excellent weapons handling skills being demonstrated.

A special mention goes to FS Meusz, Cpl Jennings, Cdt Pring, and Cdt Platts for their outstanding performances.

Huge congratulations to FS Meusz for winning the overall adult competition and being awarded the CFAV High Gun Trophy. ๐Ÿ†

Well done to everyone involved!!!

All images display cadets and staff who have been properly trained to handle the weapons and were supervised by responsible trained staff.

Mud, miles, and massive results for the team from Royal Air Force Air Cadets Wales & West Region โ€“ West Mercian Wing at the Inter-Wing Cross Country! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

WMW absolutely smashed it on the course, taking 1st place in U15 Boys, U15 Girls, U17 Boys, and Junior Women, plus a strong 2nd place in Junior Men.

Those performances secured overall victories in both the Menโ€™s and Womenโ€™s competitions, topping it all off by winning the overall Inter-Wing Cross Country title. ๐Ÿ†

A huge effort from every runner who pushed through the mud, hills, and distance to bring home the win. Hard work, determination, and serious wing spirit on display! ๐Ÿ’ช

Congratulations to everyone who competed and represented WMW so brilliantly โ€“ what a performance!

Happy International Womenโ€™s Day! โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿ’œ

Today we celebrate the incredible women and girls who make the cadet forces what they are โ€” from our dedicated female staff to the inspiring cadets developing skills, confidence, and leadership every week.

In the Royal Air Force Air Cadets, everyone has the opportunity to lead, learn, and achieve. Whether itโ€™s flying, fieldcraft, first aid, leadership, or adventure training, female cadets continue to break barriers and prove that the sky really is the limit.

Hereโ€™s to the strong, determined, and inspiring women in our squadron and across the Corps who motivate the next generation to aim higher every day. ๐Ÿ’ชโœˆ๏ธ

๐Ÿ”ซ Shotgun Shoot ๐Ÿ”ซ

Some of our cadets travelled to Buller Clay Target Range to put their skills at shotgun shooting to the test in a longer shoot than their first one.
They used their skills from their weapons handling test and theory to shoot a lot of clays.
Well done to everyone who took part in this activity!

Cadets are taught weapon handling skills as part of a structured programme of supervised training that emphasises safe and responsible use
