POSTPONED
It is with regret we’ve been forced to make the decision to delay this event. Due to cost of putting on the show and not having the numbers to support breaking even costs, let alone being able to raise money for the Archie Foundation it just isn’t feasible at this point to progress.
By making this judgement call now, we’re providing everyone with as much notice as possible regarding this decision.
Instead of completely cancelling these efforts from those involved and especially the supportive committee of the Laigh O’Moray Vintage Association (LOMVA), they have offered to incorporate the Truck Show into their Vintage Rally which takes place on the 26th and 27th September 2026.
WE now offer you the choice, to remain booked in to attend the Truck Show on the 26th and 27th September at the LOMVA Rally, where your submission and entry fee already paid covers you for this event, or you can request a refund if you are unable to attend this new date and arrangement.
We are sure you appreciate the challenges in getting a new show off the ground at such short notice, however, the best decision we feel at this time is to combine our efforts to alleviate the cost of the infrastructure in hosting a stand-alone event. Thus will give us time and resources, providing the Truck Show element at the Vintage Rally is a success, to then start again and properly manage to promote and establish the North East Truck Show, in association with LOMVA in May 2027.
If you wish to remain signed up for the Truck Show at the LOMVA Rally for September 2026 – Thank you, thank you for your support and loyalty especially in these challenging times with fuel prices and the cost of living. We have established that the money raised at LOMVA will be shared between the Archie Foundation and their other Charity beneficiaries.
If you chose to have a refund due to being unable to commit to the September dates, please bear with us for processing your refund. We are volunteers and have chosen to support this in our own time alongside full-time jobs and raising families.
We are deeply saddened that we cannot justify going ahead with the event this May and appreciate the ongoing circumstances in the world events that have contributed to the lack of support able to be warranted especially within the Haulage Industry at this time.
Thanks again.
