We've been busy recently at our Glebe Community Garden sessions and we've been making the most of the Spring sunshine! Keen to get outside and gardening more? We'd love to hear from you!

An update of Spring activities in the Glebe Community Garden, Keith

24/03/2026

Our Keith Community Gardener stopped by Keith Library Keith Area Libraries - Keith, Aberlour, Dufftown and Tomintoul this morning to share a selection of seeds to help grow their garden for kids and local groups to enjoy! This poster outside says it all!

Also, public libraries across Moray and Aberdeenshire have recently received free seed-tatties and a selection of veg seeds to give away, from another fantastic local organisation One Seed Forward so this is a great time to stop by! We'll be planting our free 'First Earlies' at The Glebe Garden this week! 🌱🥔🥔💚

A very heartening message arrived in our inbox this week from our local primary school:

"Thank you so much for all the brilliant seeds. I really didn't expect so much. Very much appreciated though. We can't wait to get the gardening started... We will certainly have lots to harvest and beautiful flowers to enjoy."

If your community group or club would like some too please keep in touch: we've plenty to share.🌱🍓🥒🥕🥔🌻🌼🌺🌷

We're delighted to see blue skies in The Glebe Garden this week as we return for our Springtime sessions! There's plenty to get on with while the sun shines: taking care of our orchard trees before their buds open, getting flowers bulbs out of pots and into the ground, and preparing for sowing and growing for the seasons ahead.

During the wintery weather, we’ve enjoyed our weekly sessions indoors at the Longmore Community Hall, which has been a very cosy, comfortable, and welcoming space to plan and prepare for the season ahead. The snow has given us some extra challenges aro...

Well it has been a very cold and windy January but that has not stopped us from doing our sessions 🥶❄️

We were working indoors this Tuesday, where our participants learned how to repot currant, willow, and buddleia cuttings.

This was an exciting workshop for the participants, and they enjoyed researching how to care for the currant bushes, and learning about plant families 🌱

We will be keeping you updated on our workshops every week, and we can't wait to get back in the garden!
