Ilkley Bandstand - Official are hosting the City of Bradford Brass Band for a concert at Christchurch to celebrate their Silver Jubilee on July 16th.

Supported by both Ilkley Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of Ilkley Wharfedale, the concert is a fantastic chance to enjoy great music, and celebrate 25 years of amazing community moments!

This Saturday, why not join a wonderful community celebration at Ilkley Market on The Grove as part of The Great Get Together?

Taking place from 12pm–3pm, the event is an opportunity to celebrate everything that makes Ilkley such a special place to live. It's a chance to meet new people, chat with neighbours, enjoy some live music and spend time together in the heart of our town.

The Great Get Together is a nationwide initiative inspired by Jo Cox's belief that we have far more in common than that which divides us. This year marks 10 years since Jo's death, and communities across the UK will be coming together to celebrate connection, kindness and belonging.

There's no formal programme – just a warm and welcoming space to say hello, make new connections and enjoy each other's company.

Sad news this morning.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of David Hockney, one of Britain's most celebrated artists and a proud Patron of Ilkley Pride & Diversity Group.

David's creativity, vision, and commitment to individuality inspired generations, while his support for our community meant a great deal to us. His legacy will live on through his extraordinary work and the countless lives he touched.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who admired him.
Thank you, David. You will be greatly missed.

The Friends of Ilkley Moor have three fascinating events coming up, offering the chance to explore the moor's wildlife, history and conservation work.

📍 Habitat Management and Footpath Maintenance

📍 Heritage Walk: Across Crawshaw Moss and Neolithic Sites
🗓 Saturday 20 June | ⏰ 2pm–4pm

📍 The Birds of Ilkley Moor
🗓 Sunday 21 June | ⏰ 9am–11am

Whether you're interested in habitat restoration, local heritage or the birdlife that calls the moor home, there's something for everyone.

If you see someone in trouble in water, make the right call - call 999!

- PHONE 999 for help.
- Tell them to FLOAT on their back.
- THROW rescue equipment to keep them afloat until emergency services arrive.

Ilkley & District u3a host regular digital drop-in sessions at the Clarke Foley Community Hub. Operating alongside the u3a’s regular schedule, these sessions are open to the entire community. Whether you are a u3a member or a local resident, anyone struggling to get the most out of their smartphone or tablet is welcome to attend.
