At our Thursday meeting, Beekeeper, Barney Lerner of Addingham Honey gave a fascinating presentation on all things honeybees and honey production and brought some delicious honeys from his bees to taste and purchase. He also let us know if you or someone you know sees a bee swarm, please contact him at 07879668641 to sort it out.

At our March AGM, Rachel stepped down after 4 years as our President and we are now just as lucky to have Emily taking over the role. Thank you Rachel for all you have done for the BlueBelles and will continue to do on the committee and good luck to Emily as you kick off your Presidency.

Watch party of the NFWI Annual Meeting.....

We're moving closer to this year's NFWI Annual Meeting, being held online on 4th June 2026.
We're arranging Watch Parties and this one is is being held at Southowram Social Club HX3 9QZ

I’ve just completed this, would encourage members to do too. From a WI perspective, Stockeld Road is so far out, surely it could keep the free hour like Cowpasture etc.

🚘 Car parking changes – Ilkley Town Council wants your feedback!

Ilkley Town Council is keen to gather residents’ views about the recent changes to car parking, made by Bradford Council, which came into effect in the town at the start of the year.

Ilkley Town Council was not happy with Bradford’s decision to plough ahead with the changes, despite its recommendations and the town’s petition to stop them.

Ilkley Town Council is also holding drop-in sessions where you can discuss your thoughts on the changes with local Councillors. You will be able to fill out a feedback form and comment on how the new charges have affected you. This feedback will then be relayed to Bradford decision makers in the hope that they will reverse their decision or provide a workaround for local residents.

The sessions will take place at Vitello Lounge on Brook Street during the following dates and times:

Tuesday 24 Feb 2:30pm-4:00pm
Wednesday 25 Feb 9:30am-10:30am
Wednesday 25 Feb 6:00pm-7:00pm

Thursday - 08/01/26 Meeting Cancelled!!
The Met Office has issued a Yellow Warning for Ilkley for snow this evening.
Given the uncertainty around the impact of storm Goretti, and with members already contacting us to say they don’t wish to travel this evening, we have made the decision to cancel tonight’s Ilkley Bluebelles WI meeting.
