in June 2011, Uniform Exchange provides free recycled school uniform to families in Kirklees. βWeβre trying to make second-hand parents first choice when getting school uniformβ. Established in June 2011, Uniform Exchangeβs mission is to provide free school uniform to any child who needs it and to encourage children and families to think of others and the environment. Instead of throwing away ol
d school uniform and filling the landfill sites, we ask families to donate their uniform to us, in order that we can recycle and redistribute it. Our social impact is simple, we seek to make school uniform accessible to all children across Kirklees, especially those who find themselves in financial hardship and poverty. As a team of volunteers, we are driven to support those in need; by reducing social inequality particularly, the social isolation related to poverty led bullying in our local schools. We believe that our charity provides children with opportunity to learn, without the fear and stigmatisation of living in a household facing economic barriers.
