Pandora update.
So we took Pandora for a second opinion.
Due to the seizures, her size and change in colour the vet suspected she had a liver shunt.
Several blood tests were taken, fit, seizures and bile.
Her bile test came back as negative which ruled out the liver shunt, however the tests showed there was an issue with her immune system and swelling.
Due to this she was tested for FELV and FIV, which is feline leukaemia and aids. Thankfully these tests also came back as negative.
We are still at a loss of what is going on but we are ruling things out.
So for the moment she is on antibiotics and anti epilepsy meds.
We then need to take her back in 3 weeks for another lot of blood tests to see if the meds have helped and then she will also have a CT/MRI scan.
We are greatful for everyone's donations towards Pandoras care and also the rest of the cats in the sanctuary, and to everyone who has set up standing orders for the continuing care of all the cats.
As a not for profit company, we rely on these continuous donations so thank you from the bottom of our hearts

Wow, what a weekend we've had at Horrorconuk!
This was our second year of trading at this event and so many customers, traders and staff we're so happy that Atticus was once again in attendance.
It got to the point that word got out that he was in the building that we became a hot topic in the large trading hall and old faces and new literally came seeking us out to say hello. Then they had the added bonus of meeting Pandora for the first time and hearts melted more.
Through the purchases from our stall and the generosity of donations, the amazing people of Horrorconuk raised a staggering £1731.86 for Purrfectly Imperfect Cat Sanctuary towards Pandoras treatment.
We cannot thank everyone enough for this weekend!
We hope to see you again next year!

Three years ago Meret lost his leg.
He was in shock and had significant blood loss and we were not sure he was going to make it.
They had to stabilise him for nearly 15 hours before they could operate.
The vet said he'd made a miraculous recovery from the operation and was handling his pain really well to the point he no longer needed intravenous pain relief which ment he could come home and recover faster in a familiar environment.
Never in our wildest dreams did we think we'd have him back home in just over 24 hours from rushing him down.
We always joke he only had his accident so he could claim to be part of the disabled clowder!

We've been busy beavering away at the sanctuary this week in preparation of a very special event. We'll be trading at Horrorcon at Sheffield Magna this Saturday and Sunday.
We will have our "'potion" stall of bubble baths and shower gels all inspired by horror movies and )we'll also have our cat goodies with some new horror themed items.
All money raised on the day will go specifically towards Pandoras treatment as we are still in desperate need of funds.
If you are a horror fan, this event is not to be missed!

I think of all the cats we've had, the nutter crown has to go to Mr Stephano Wiggle.
A wobbler with extra long legs who did everything at warp speed. From jumping into the bath, sleeping with the bunnies in their hutch, face planting windows when overshooting to get on the sofa and also this! Hes now passed but he has left us with so many memories, mainly of his crazy antics

We had a great day today raising funds for Pandoras treatment.
We are nearly half way there!
