We were told that they had been some delays at the port due to random checks which included the pet taxi. The first drop was Folkestone and Maidstone which was at 10.30pm. We were expecting another 2 hours before our boy arrived in Sheffield, however, weve just been informed he has arrived.
It is 00.30am and we are on our way to pick him up! Eeeeek

Heimdall and his furry travel companions have been checked through the Netherlands customs and are now well on their way to the port.

Chic has landed in the Netherlands!
So hes done, air, hes still yet to do land and sea which he will have completed later today.
Whilst you are watching his journey, I thought id let you know of the new name we have chosen for him.
As you know, we have had some recent loses at the sanctuary, each one taking a piece of our heart.
Due to this, the name we have chosen is Heimdall. Heimdall is the guardian of the rainbow bridge in Norse mythology
We will continue to let you know of Heimdalls journey as and when we hear anything

Chic is on his way!!!
The flight is from Larnaca to Maastricht (Netherlands) and from there, a pet transport to UK
We are expecting to collect him around 11pm all depending on traffic.

Happy 14th Gotcha day to one if our house panfers Meret.
Fully abled until the day he had to have his leg removed due to an accident.
A complete and utter love bug to his hoomans and daddy to all of the clowder. This cat has so much love in his body he just needs to share it around.
Whether its giving kisses to the hoomans or pinning down and washing the other cats, its all about the love

Two more sleeps then the handsome Chic will be with us.
Its going to be an incredibly long day as we are fundraising in Liverpool then will be collecting Chic from Sheffield very late at night.
No doubt after his long journey he will need a bath with him being incontinent but he will finally be in his forever home and we cant wait

Its going to be a busy few weeks at the sanctuary.
This week we are preparing for Chics flight from Cyprus to the UK on the 1st November, where we will be picking him up between 10-11pm.
Then on the 20th November, Murdock will be flying from Crete to Paris, then travelling by pet taxi and ferry to us.
I want to thank everyone who has been involved in making this all happen. From the rescuers, the vets, the fosterers, the supporters, etc.
Without every single one of these people, who knows what would have happened to these beautiful cats.

While the cats live their best lives the humans return to the day job whether that be employed by business or by the cats.
