Baby Bel 🦌

This little lady is thriving.
Such a lucky little fawn who was delivered here by C-section after her mother didn't survive an RTC.
She has progressed from being in our ICU and is now in our fawn nursery.
Bel will go through our rehabilitation process and once old enough she will be released back into the wild.

Just three little hogs enjoying their dinner.

We hope all our followers are having a wonderful Sunday.

Please note:
The food they are eating is a specialist feed for weaning hedgehogs.

New arrival:

This Tawny arrived with us today and it has been nicknamed Sweep.

After deciding to try a new career, sweeping the finders chimney.... which failed.

After being trapped for two days, it was finally retrieved.

Now in our care, after an initial inspection, covered in soot and a few scrapes, a good clean, and wound treatment plus a good feed, we have high hopes of a full recovery. 🦉

Fundraising event:

Yesterday evening (11/06/2026) we had the pleasure of joining the wonderful community of Colgate village where we held one of our quiz nights.

What an amazing gathering, great fun, quiz and raffle all in aid of RLWH.

A whopping ⭐ £856.00 ⭐ was raised.

We cannot be more thankful to everyone who took part, purchased raffle tickets and gave additional donations.

The money raised goes directly back into the wildlife hospital, so we can continue helping all wildlife in need that come through our doors.

Thank you all for your support 💚

Cheeky little cubs; No, we do not have a two headed fox cub 😂 although it really does look like two heads on one body.

Mallard Duckling

This dinky little one arrived with us yesterday after being found on its own at Warnham Nature Reserve.

The finders spoke with one of the wardens and asked what they should do, as no mother was around and no other ducklings, they advised it's best to be brought into us.

If you are ever unsure what to do if you find any wild animal, please always call for advice, we are here to help.
