NEWS, NEWS, NEWS 🗞️

I have some pretty fabulous news to share with you all! 🩵

Many of you will remember our gorgeous tan and white, and black and white Greyhound pups who arrived from Romania back in March, rescued by a wonderful and compassionate vet, named Simone.

At the time, despite her very best efforts, Simone sadly had no choice but to return their mum to her owner once the puppies had been weaned, meaning she had to go back to the awful conditions she had come from. 😔

When the puppies were first rescued, we agreed with Simone that if the day ever came when she was able to get Mumma out too, we would take her without hesitation. We’ve been hoping ever since that somehow that opportunity would come.

Well... guess what, guys?!

Simone has got her! 🎉❤️

We are absolutely over the moon. A promise made back when her babies were rescued can finally be kept, and this beautiful mumma is going to get the same chance at a wonderful new life that her puppies had.

She’ll be joining us at the beginning of October, and we honestly cannot wait to welcome her. 🥹❤️

After everything she has been through, her story is finally about to change.

TILLY, TAMMY AND ANNA UPDATE 🩵

All three of our China meat trade survivors are doing incredibly well. I’ve spent time gently acclimating them to wearing their harnesses and helping them understand how to walk calmly beside me on a training lead, and today they were ready to venture out for their very first taste of the outside world.

And what little superstars they were! 🌟

With calm, confident and purposeful handling to give them the reassurance and direction they needed, all three settled beautifully and walked like absolute pros.

Such a lovely milestone for these special girls, and we couldn’t be prouder of them. 🩵

Archer has a lovely home waiting for him, a world away from the life he had clearly endured, judging by the appalling condition he was in when he arrived into our care.

🩵🩵🩵 ADOPTED 🩵🩵🩵

When Chloe first arrived into our care, she was understandably very wary of new people. It was clear that experiences in her past had left her feeling fearful and unsure of who she could trust.

During her time with us, we’ve had the absolute joy of watching glimpses of her inner puppy begin to shine through. 🥹🩵 Once she feels safe, Chloe loves nothing more than zooming around with her toys and generally being a complete silly billy with me and the team she feels comfortable with.

Yesterday was a hard goodbye. If only we could explain to them that they don’t need to be scared anymore and that something wonderful is waiting for them. 🩵

Thankfully, Chloe has found two lovely adopters in Anne and Mike, who understand that she needs kindness, patience and time. They’ll let her build trust at her own pace while showing her just how wonderful life in a loving home can be.
And the early reports are already making us smile, she ate all her dinner and we’ve even had a little tail wag!

We cannot wait to watch Chloe’s confidence grow and see that gorgeous silly billy side of her come out more and more with her new family.

Be brave, beautiful girl. Your new chapter has begun. 🩵🐾

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!

This beautiful girl arrived in our care in a heartbreaking condition, underweight and suffering from entropion, a painful condition where the eyelids turn inwards.

Our vets discovered that a painful ulcer had caused the nerve at the back of her eye to retract the eye, resulting in her lower eyelid inverting. Avril was in an enormous amount of discomfort, yet throughout it all, she remained kind and gentle.

Thankfully, Avril has now made a full recovery, she is pain free and she has gained a considerable amount of much needed weight.

Avril is approximately 18–24 months of age, although she has an old soul.
She is incredibly kind and affectionate towards everyone she meets and gets along beautifully with the other dogs here at the rescue, happily sharing her space with them.
On walks, Avril is polite and easy on the lead and takes everything in her stride. Even in a secure field, she's far more interested in pottering around and having a good sniff than racing around doing zoomies!

She travels well in the car and settles beautifully indoors, making her a pleasure to have around.

Avril is going to make someone an absolutely fantastic companion. After everything this sweet girl has been through, it's now time for us to find her the loving forever home she deserves, somewhere she can feel safe and cherished.
Avril is ready to start the next chapter of her life. Could you be the family she's been waiting for? 🩵
