Across our 3 locations we managed to collect 345 cards for Amelia. You will be pleased to hear that Amelia’s grand total is now well above her original, now with over 100,000 cards received!!

Thank you all so much for your contributions towards this cause, a special thank you to Shelley’s Budgens and Collyers college for agreeing to be drop off points, this wouldn’t have been possible without you.

NEW LOCAL DROP-OFF POINT

We’ve partnered with a local business, Shelley’s Budgens, to set up a birthday card drop-off point. They have also very kindly offered to cover the cost of shipping once all the cards are collected.

If you’d like to help make Amelia’s 8th birthday extra special, you can now drop your cards in store and I’ll collect them by the end of February so they can be delivered together ahead of her birthday.

Thank you so much to Shelley’s Budgens for supporting this and helping our community spread a little kindness.

Every card truly means the world.

Shared on behalf of our local children’s hospice - this is just awful 😢

We are extremely shocked and saddened to report that one of our beloved statues has been stolen from the grounds of Chestnut Tree House.

The statue is of a little boy sitting down playing with a mouse – he is part of a trio of sculptures showing children playing.

They were installed in 2004 and have since become an iconic and much-loved feature of the hospice grounds - A generous donor funded the statues costing over £5000.

We are calling on our community to make the statue ‘too hot to handle’ by keeping an eye out for it on online selling sites, social media marketplaces, or even at car boot sales.

Please report any sightings or information to Sussex Police who are investigating the incident.

It was taken during the day, so we’re adding extra security measures and closing the car park earlier during the darker months.

One of the gifts - a bespoke Dr. Barbara Sturm skin consultation- is so utterly fabulous that it has been featured by lifestyle experts, SheerLuxe, who loved both the experience on offer but also the benefit to children battling cancer 🎗️

Taken from SheerLuxe:
‘You know those people who seem impossible to buy for – the ones who already have everything, yet you still want something standout? That’s where A Noble Gift comes in. The platform reinvents luxury gifting with a conscience, operating as a year-round, female-founded auction site where every single penny of the winning bid goes straight to charity. One standout this season is the Dr. Barbara Sturm Bespoke Skin Consultation & Winter Skincare Kit. This isn’t just a gift set – it’s an exclusive one-to-one virtual consultation with Dr. Barbara Sturm herself, followed by a personalised skincare routine curated for the recipient’s skin needs, plus at least £500 in products. What makes it truly special is that all proceeds from the winning bid go directly to supporting Issy's Silver Linings in aid of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.’

Make sure to check out the rest of the amazing A Noble Gift offerings - whatever you buy through them is donated and 100% of the end price paid goes to the charity matched to the gift. It’s genius! Huge thanks to A Noble Gift for continuing to support Issy’s Silver Linings through your amazing fund raising platform. The work you are doing is simply inspiring 🤩

Thanks also to Dr. Barbara Sturm and to Theatre Royal Drury Lane for your generous donations to help these brave kids in their fight against cancer 💕

Today Issy had her first review in the teenage and young adult oncology clinic based in the newer section of the The Royal Marsden NHS 🫶

Her new team made her feel so comfortable and reduced the frequency of her visits from 3 monthly to 6 monthly based on how good her bloods are looking and how well she’s doing 💪
