It’s been a little quiet on our socials recently, so we wanted to share a small update from the team at Hornsea Youth CIC 😊

Behind the scenes we’ve been working hard getting things set up properly, and we’re pleased to say that our insurance is now in place, an important step for us as we build things the right way.

We’re also currently in positive conversations about a potential venue where we hope to begin running regular youth activity evenings. The idea is to create a relaxed, welcoming space where young people can come together, hang out with friends, and enjoy things like games consoles, board games, karaoke, and other fun activities 🎮🎲🎤

Nothing is confirmed just yet, but things are moving in the right direction and we’re excited about what the future could look like.

Our aim is simple: to create more opportunities, positive activities, and safe spaces for young people in Hornsea.

Update from Our New Youth CIC

Over the past few weeks we’ve been working behind the scenes as we start building our new community youth organisation.

A big focus for us right now is finding a suitable indoor space to rent so we can begin offering regular sessions for young people. We’re currently exploring a few options and hoping to secure somewhere that will allow us to create a welcoming and positive space.

Our plan is to run indoor youth sessions where young people can come along, relax, and spend time together in a safe environment. We’re looking at things like karaoke, board games, games consoles, and other social activities, giving young people somewhere to hang out, have fun, and feel part of something.

It’s still early days, but we’re really excited about what this could grow into and the opportunities it could create for young people in the community.

We’ll keep sharing updates as things progress. If anyone knows of a suitable space that might be available to rent, or would like to support what we’re trying to build, we’d love to hear from you.

We want to say the biggest, most heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, and supported our CIC so far. The kindness and generosity shown has genuinely meant the world to us.

The money already raised is going to make a huge difference and will directly help us support young people in meaningful ways. Thanks to you, we’ve not only reached our original target, but gone beyond it, which is incredible and something we’re truly grateful for.

With the momentum and support from such an amazing community, maybe together we can take the next step and work towards having a space to call our own. A place where we can grow, offer more, and build something lasting.

Let’s build something positive for young people in Hornsea.

We’ve officially launched Hornsea Youth CIC , a new community interest company set up by local experienced youth workers who care deeply about the young people in our town.

We’re starting small but with a clear vision: safe spaces, trusted adults, and positive opportunities for young people to connect, grow, and feel supported.

We’ve set up a JustGiving page with an initial target to help us cover essential startup costs like insurance and DSL training, the foundations that allow us to run youth provision properly and safely.
If we’re lucky enough to raise more, those funds will go towards our longer-term aim of securing a dedicated youth space in Hornsea.

This isn’t about one big donation , it’s about a community coming together to build something that belongs to all of us.

Hornsea Youth CIC Update

A quick update from us. Things have been fairly steady behind the scenes lately, but some important foundations are now in place.

We’ve got our business bank account set up, which is a huge step for Hornsea Youth. It means we’re now able to apply for funding, receive grants and donations, and start turning plans into action rather than just ideas.

We also have youth mental health training coming up, which is a key part of making sure we’re supporting young people safely, responsibly, and with the right skills.

Our biggest challenge right now is finding suitable premises. We’ve seen a space that could work really well for what we want to offer, but we need either access to premises or funding to help secure one.

It might be quiet on the page, but things are definitely moving.

Hello and welcome!

We’re a new community youth organisation set up by two experienced local youth workers who are passionate about supporting young people.

Between us, we work both in youth provision and within a school setting, which means we understand the challenges young people face, but also their strengths, creativity, and potential. This organisation has been created to offer safe spaces, positive activities, and trusted relationships where young people can feel supported, included, and heard.

What we do is shaped by young people themselves. Whether it’s activities, skills, confidence-building, or simply a place to belong, our focus is always on what will make a positive difference in their lives.

As a non-profit organisation, everything we do is made possible through funding, grants, and donations. Any support we receive goes directly back into providing sessions, resources, and opportunities for young people in our community.

We’re excited to be getting started and grateful for any support, whether that’s following our page, spreading the word, or supporting us in the future.
