Beautiful Friendship Dog, Sprocket, loves visiting his friend Mrs H in her own home in Newcastle. Mrs H is a huge dog lover, she always had a dog in her life, but it’s not possible now and she misses them. Mrs H spends a lot of time on her own so having regular visits from lovely Labradoodle Sprocket and his 'Mum' Kathryn mean the world.

Another important Wag friendship making a difference, great job Sprocket!..🐶❤️🐶

Dog owners in South Shields, we need you!

Mrs C, 82, is a widow who lives in sheltered accommodation in South Shields. After having to rehome her beloved Westie, she really misses the company of a furry friend. Most of her family don’t live locally, so she would love to have regular visitors for a chat over a cuppa and some special cuddles from a four-legged friend again.

Do you have the perfect cuddle monster who could give Mrs C something special to look forward to? 🐶♥️ We’ll make it safe and easy to volunteer 👇

Here's Friendship Dog, Islay the Border Terrier visiting her special friends Mr & Mrs C in the Tees Valley.

Islay and her 'Mum' Janet have visited them for almost two years now, originally in their own home in Stockton and then when Mr C moved into a residential care home last year they followed behind, while still visiting Mrs C at home too!
Mr and Mrs C always had dogs, mostly Jack Russells, but they weren't able to have one of their own any more so little Islay visiting regularly has made all the difference! Great job little Islay..🐶❤️🐶

Friendship Dog, Harry, the Labrador loves his best friend Mr P who he’s visited regularly in his own home in Sunderland for over 2 years now. Mr & Mrs P always had Labradors throughout their lives but could no longer have a dog of their own and they both immediately loved their new Wag friends Harry and his ‘mum’ Anita!
Very sadly Mrs P passed away in 2024 and Harry of course continued visiting Mr P - they’re real friends now.

They all went out for cuppa this week to celebrate Harry’s return after surgery on his foot! Great job lovely boy.. 🐶❤️🐶

Ellie and her Friendship Dog Toby have been a great source of friendship for Shirley in Redcar, who has lived alone for 40 years since the loss of her Mum.

Shirley faces daily challenges due to a chronic health condition and can't get out independently now. But every week, Wag Team Ellie and Toby bring a little bit of sunshine to her doorstep! Massive dog lover Shirley adores cuddling Toby on her knee, spoiling him with treats, and having a good chat with Ellie.

Their relationship is special! Shirley says they make her happy, and that's exactly why we're here! 🐶♥️🐶 A lovely watch, enjoy. Hear more about their story 👉 https://buff.ly/3XU2lzo
