Waterford are doing our bit! Our two metre strip nearest the road is seeded with wild flowers and left for the wildlife!

What if every home in East Herts left just 1m² of grass to grow this “No Mow May”? 💚

That would create 53,000m² of extra long grass and wildflowers for insects and pollinators to enjoy - that’s more than 7 full-sized football pitches! 🐝

Even better, if you can leave a patch to grow for longer than May, you’ll give nature an even bigger boost 🌼

We’re doing our part too. The council works with ecological specialists, Hertfordshire County Council, and local volunteer “Friends of” groups to improve habitats right across the district 🦋
