The Rainbow Services Youth Team have been busy out and about promoting the Essex Violence and Vulnerability Unit Youth Map which highlights all the clubs and activities available to young people in Harlow and across Essex. It features a variety of activities that caters to all interests: from sports clubs like football and dance, to art and music clubs.

At Harlow Library over the Bank Holiday weekend, they engaged with over 80 young people of all ages who were passing through and around the library. Last weekend they were at Harlow junior parkrun, an event held every Sunday at 9am in the Town Park Showground Field, where young people aged 4-14 complete a free 2k run, walk or jog together. The turnout was fantastic at around 50 kids which was amazing to see. This is a wonderful event that shows there are brilliant opportunities for the young people of Harlow to find community and positivity in our town, and the Essex Youth Map is an amazing tool for finding out what's available.

If you work with families or in a youth setting, we'd be delighted to provide you with some small cards to hand out so that families can find out more about local activities, just please send us a DM with your details.

*Sabrina Carpenter voice* please, please, please take our Harlow Active Families Survey 2026 ๐Ÿ™

Weโ€™re looking to learn more about how families in Harlow stay active and we need YOUR help!

If you are a family living in Harlow with children aged 0-16, weโ€™d love to hear all about the activities you take part in, whether thatโ€™s organised clubs and groups, visits to local parks, walking, cycling, swimming, active play or any other ways you enjoy being active as a family.

Weโ€™d also like to hear about any fitness opportunities for families you might like to see in Harlow.

This survey is completely anonymous and should take no more than 2-3 minutes to complete. It will close on Monday 22 June 2026.

You can start the survey at: rainbowservices.org.uk/activesurvey2026

Harlow has a brand new free app celebrating the town's incredible street art scene โ€” and we're excited to share it with you!
Painting Harlow's Future brings together over 60 murals from the MurWalls Live 2026 event and Harlow Council's underpass transformation project into one interactive art trail. Artists from across the UK descended on Broad Walk and the town's underpasses in March 2026, turning construction hoardings and forgotten walkways into a stunning open-air gallery.
Download the free app, explore the trail using the interactive map, and collect each mural by visiting it in person. Complete the whole trail and you'll be entered into a prize draw. We have prize drawings for Playhouse tickets - and more prizes being added!
It's free, it gets you outdoors, and it's a brilliant way to see Harlow through fresh eyes.
๐Ÿ“ฑ Available on iOS and Android ๐Ÿ”— paintingharlowsfuture.com
A collaboration between Harlow Council, MurWalls, and Japeto.
