More thanks on behalf of the charity and this time a big thank you to Elle Sheraton who, together with her wonderful colleagues at Vinson & Elkins, organised two fantastic fundraising efforts in support of The For Isla Foundation.

On Tuesday 8th September, the anniversary of Isla’s passing, the team came together to hold a bake sale, selling an amazing selection of homemade treats to raise funds in Isla’s memory.

Alongside this, Elle’s colleague Nick Scorey took on the London to Brighton Bike Ride, raising further funds for the charity.

Together, their incredible efforts raised an amazing £1,685. We are so grateful to Elle, Nick and everyone at V&E who baked, cycled, donated and supported the events.

A bit later in the year but the sun still shone thanks to our little girl and we had another brilliant golf day. A big thank you to Isla's great uncle Andy and all the staff at Langdon Hills Golf Club for hosting another memorable day. We raised £6,661.61 with £2,295.53 going to the charity and can't thank everyone who came enough for their support year on year - it means the world to us and all the children at GOSH this will help.

A special mention and thanks to the Mayor of Castle Point who also joined us for the afternoon to promote the charity, meet some of the team, and even helped out during the prize giving ceremony.

We are honoured to have been selected by the Mayor of Castle Point as one of two charities she is supporting this year. For those of you coming to the golf day the Mayor will be there to say hello and to support our charity.

The mayor’s first fundraising event will be an afternoon tea at Boyce Hill Golf Club in Benfleet and we will be there to help with the raffle, give a speech on our charity, and raise awareness for our little girl’s foundation.

Guests will be welcomed with a complimentary glass of Prosecco or orange juice on arrival, before enjoying a traditional afternoon tea in relaxed and pleasant surroundings. There will also be a raffle during the afternoon, with all proceeds supporting the Mayor’s charities.

🏌️‍♂️ ⛳️ We can’t wait to welcome you all to our annual golf day on Friday. The weather looks glorious, as is the golf-day tradition courtesy of our little girl 💕

Some key info for the day:
- arrive from 9am for breakfast rolls, tea and coffee
- first tee time from 10:28am (your tee time will be confirmed on the day)
- prizes for nearest the pins and longest drive (thanks to those who have sponsored a hole)
- bbq from 3:30pm; please let us know if anyone is joining just for bbq (£15) and their food choice
- raffle to be drawn after the food so please bring money to enter (£5 per strip); no live auction this year
- we are expecting a visit from the Mayor of Castle Point who has kindly selected The For Isla Foundation as one of her sponsored charities this year 🤍

⛳️ IT’S OFFICIAL! Our 3rd annual charity golf day is confirmed - a little later than usual - for Friday 25th September at Langdon Hills Golf Club ⛳️

Same format as always, but for those who haven’t played with us before:

💕 Coffee, tea and breakfast rolls on arrival at 9am
💕 18 holes, staggered start from 10am
💕 Prizes for nearest to pin / longest drive
💕 BBQ & Raffle to finish
💕 £70 per golfer (non-members) and BBQ only tickets available for £15
💕 Please wear pink to honour our girl (official charity golf shirts available to purchase)

Today would have been our Isla’s 4th birthday.

We would have been up early, opening presents, eating a special birthday breakfast surrounded by balloons. Instead, we stepped right back into the depths of grief thinking about all the memories we should have made.

That’s why our charity means the world to us; to be able to help babies, young children and their families when their world is crashing around them all in our beautiful girls name makes us so proud.

We promised that out of the very worst situation, we would create something positive. And I’m delighted we did it.

Hopefully our girl would be very proud 🤍

A little update from us.

After finally feeling strong enough to engage with GOSH patients, we have had the honour of helping quite a few under our Ray of Sunshine scheme. We provide one off gifts to babies and children (and their families) who are suffering from rare cardiomyopathies (heart diseases) and are being treated at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

We know from personal experience how acts of kindness - no matter how small - can mean the everything when you’re drowning in darkness. And so we hope that we can bring even a little light to those affected in their darkest times.

A huge, huge thank you to everyone that has and continues to help us raise money. It’s all so worthwhile and we are immensely proud to be able to do what we do xx
