🕊️ 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱: 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Armistead, a true character of the tractor pulling world.
Brian was a cornerstone of the UK pulling scene from its very beginning in 1978. For nearly 50 years, he was a driving force in the sport, both on and off the track. 🚜💨

He was the fearless leader of the BWA Racing Team and the man behind the wheel of the legendary "𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗻." He competed at the highest level across Europe for decades and remains one of the sport's most decorated champions, with multiple British, Eurocup and European titles to his name.

Perhaps his greatest legacy, however, was his dedication to the sports growth. Brian was the driving force behind the 𝗡𝗪𝗧𝗣𝗖, serving as Chairman for many, many years before stepping up to lead as our President. His guidance and passion shaped the club into what it is today.

He was a mentor, a competitor, and a friend to so many. From his family, friends, teammates, and the entire pulling community:

Lloyd Ltd is pleased to extend its partnership with .uk.roi to cover North, South and West Lancashire as well as Cheshire, effective from 16th February 2026.

Having started the year announcing the addition of the Case IH franchise to its portfolio of agricultural machinery brands available from its branches in Cumbria, the company will cover the Cheshire area from its recently-opened premises at Holmes Chapel while its branch near Garstang will be the base for its team covering North, South and West Lancashire, as well as Cheshire.
