We are sad to say that Elswick's Stay and Play sessions will no longer be going forward.
It is a combination of not getting enough volunteers to assist in the running of the group, being unable to cover the room costs (even with fundraising), and most importantly not having enough people attending Stay and Play.
On our last session we did not have any children apart from the children from the parent volunteers.
We do want to thank Elswick Village Hall for starting off the group, every person who gifted toys and every volunteer who gave their valued time and skills into the group. Our helpers included our own children who would take such pride in arranging toys for all the children who would attend.
We've had babies as young as 3 weeks old, grandparents, carers, mums and many biscuit loving children.
We can say that we will miss being sat around the crafting table with our little ones whilst getting to know our community. Our children have made some lovely friends, and so have we.
