Pumpkins out, raincoats on… how are we already at the end of October?! 🎃🍂
The seasons have certainly changed at The Daffodil Project! Our animals are snuggled into their cosy hutches with plenty of warm bedding, tucked away from the wind and rain. Judging by these two, some are getting into the Halloween spirit too! 🐾👻

The darker days and chilly weather can take a little getting used to, but there’s still so much to enjoy outdoors. With warm layers, waterproofs and wellies, we’re ready for muddy adventures, crunchy leaves and caring for our animals, followed by a chance to warm up inside! 🧡
I can’t wait for Term 2 to begin and to welcome all our term-time learners back. We’ve missed your laughter, your ideas and seeing you make Daffodil your own.

HALF TERM REMINDER

Just a reminder that not all schools have the same half-term dates, so we wanted to make sure our families have ours saved.

Our half term:
Monday 19th October – Friday 30th October

We will be returning on Monday 2nd November.

If you’re planning your October half term, please make sure you have our dates in your diary.

Our holiday club will be open on Monday 26th, Tuesday 27th and Friday 30th October. It is available to our term-time learners, as well as new children and other families who may wish to join us.

We look forward to seeing everyone back after the break.

Our children made cosy little beds for our guinea pigs!
They chose funky fabrics, hand stitched the beds and filled them with soft cushioning. The children showed fabulous focus and engagement throughout, while practising their fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination and patience.
Our guinea pigs now have some very colourful places to snuggle! 💛

🚸 A little reminder for families visiting The Daffodil Project

Silverspot Close is part of Medway’s School Streets scheme. During term time, vehicles without an exemption must not enter during these times:

• Monday to Friday: 8–9am and 3–4pm
• Fridays also: 12:45–1:30pm

The restriction is camera enforced, and entering during these times could result in a fine. Please park legally outside the restricted area and walk down to us.

Please check the signs at the entrance to Silverspot Close each time you visit so you can confirm when the restriction applies. Thank you for helping keep the road safe for everyone! 🌼
