We had the great pleasure of welcoming a new member at the weekend - Manda.
Manda has supported us for a while now and we were delighted that she wanted to join us 🦁

Recently, two of our members undertook the Pier to Pier 32 mile walk to raise funds for East Anglia's Children's Hospices - EACH and towards our charity funds.
They raised £1087 and were delighted to present a cheque to our club President.

We had a wonderful evening with Burgh Castle Rainbows and Brownies to hear all about their challenges they completed to gain the Lions Challenge Badge!
We also carried out vision screening and explained to them why we collect used spectacles and what happens to them.

Litter pick this Sunday, all volunteers welcome - meeting point in the car park at the far end of Leman Rd

What an incredible achievement! 👏🦁

Yesterday, our very own Tom and Leah completed the Pier2Pier Walk, covering an amazing 35.5 miles in 12 hours and 25 minutes. Along the way they clocked up a staggering 72,125 steps!

Despite the wet weather throughout the day, they reached the finish line, where they were welcomed by a fantastic crowd of fellow Lions, family and friends. They were also supported by several Great Yarmouth Lions members along the route, helping to keep spirits high every step of the way.

This was no small challenge, and although they’re feeling very sore today, both Tom and Leah thoroughly enjoyed the experience and have been overwhelmed by the incredible support and encouragement they received.

Together they have already raised over £1,000 for EACH and Great Yarmouth Lions Club – a fantastic result that will make a real difference to both charities. Thank you to everyone who has donated, supported, encouraged and cheered them on.

Two of our members have set off on their 32 mile Pier to Pier walk - raising funds for EACH and GY Lions.
Looks like they are in for a VERY wet day!
They were cheered off at the start by our club president and will be joined for the last 10 miles by two other members
