🌟 LOUNGEAID IS BACK THIS JUNE 🌟

Every year, Lounges across the country come together to raise money for charity through LoungeAid — and this year we’re proud to be supporting LEAP ❤️

LEAP is a local charity helping fight homelessness and supporting vulnerable individuals within our community, and throughout June we’ll be hosting a whole range of fundraising events to help raise as much money as possible!

📅 WHAT’S COMING UP:

⚡ 3rd June — Harry Potter Quiz @ 7pm
£1pp entry, themed hamper up for grabs 🪄

🧊 11th June — Emma & Ewan take on the Ice Bucket Challenge
(Feel free to donate generously for their suffering 😂)

🥾 17th June — Charity Walk
Jo, India, Tyler & Mark are taking on a HUGE challenge — walking from Caldero to Alfredo… that’s 38 miles and around 18.5 hours! 💪

⚽ 16th June — South Yorkshire Lounges Charity Football Match
Lounges from across South Yorkshire go head-to-head in Grimsby for a 6-a-side tournament!

🎨 21st June — Sip & Paint
No theme this time — just let your creativity run wild!
£10pp includes:

Every penny goes to charity ❤️

A chance for dads to come in and practice hairstyles for their little ‘un with Joanne, £10pp and include a free pint and all the equipment

Reminder: Stephanie Marwood from CVS Lincolnshire will be visiting the LEAP Community Hub tomorrow to talk to people about volunteering.

Taking on a volunteer role is a great way to build confidence, skills and grow your CV ahead of paid work.

Wednesday, June 3rd between 10:30am and 12:30pm. No need to RSVP, just pop in.

This Thursday, our Coffee Club returns to the LEAP Community Hub.

Come along at 1pm to enjoy FREE refreshments, arts and crafts and a chance to meet your neighbours.

In addition, we have Caitlin, a Community Police Officer popping in to offer support and advice on issues you may be facing.

No need to RSVP, just turn up at 1pm. We’ll have the kettle on!

At the LEAP Community Hub, we offer laptops for the community to use. This is to help people with tasks like job searching, paying bills, and accessing online services.

Our laptops are accessible during our opening hours from Monday to Friday.

The Hepatitis C Trust and the NHS are hosting a Hepatitis C Virus testing event at the LEAP Community Hub on Thursday, July 16th 2026.

Getting tested is quick and easy. All it takes is a quick finger prick test. If you’re positive, you’ll be offered a treatment course with little to no side effects.

Make a difference to your health and come along.

- Completely free and discreet

Visit their drop-in session at the LEAP Community Hub to discover ways One You Lincolnshire can help with:

- Eating well
- Weight management
- Stopping smoking
- Moving more

This drop-in and all support offered by One You Lincolnshire is entirely free.

No need to register. Just pop-in to the LEAP Community Hub on the day.

Every Thursday, members of our local community and tenants come together to enjoy a coffee, have a chat, and get creative with arts and crafts.

Our Coffee Club is completely FREE to attend, and there’s no need to RSVP—just pop along to the LEAP Community Hub when it begins.

It's Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

Mental Health Awareness Week reminds us that every conversation, every check-in, and every positive action can make a difference. 💚

This year’s theme, Action, encourages us not only to challenge the stigma surrounding poor mental health, but also to take positive steps for ourselves and those around us. Whether that means opening up, asking for support, checking in on a friend, or simply making time to prioritise your wellbeing, every action matters.

If you live near the LEAP Community Hub, our Community Advisor offers a range of support and resources to help with mental health and wellbeing.

We run weekly Advice Service drop-in sessions, where you can speak confidentially about any challenges you may be facing and receive guidance, support, and signposting to helpful services.

📍 Drop-in sessions:
• Monday: 1 PM – 2 PM
• Wednesday: 10 AM – 11 AM
• Friday: 1 PM – 2 PM

We also host a variety of workshops and community events designed to bring people together and reduce isolation. One of our regular sessions is our weekly Coffee Club — a welcoming space to meet neighbours, have a chat, and enjoy free refreshments. Sometimes, simply getting out, connecting with others, and talking can make a real difference.
