🧶✨ FREE EVENT - SATURDAY 6th JUNE ... Get ready for a burst of colour, Formby! ✨🧶

This Saturday, June 6th, the streets are getting a major, cozy makeover for Formby's Annual Yarn Bombing Day!

The incredible team behind this has worked tirelessly all year long, and rumour has it there are some absolutely stunning new displays waiting to surprise us in the village.

☀️ We are crossing our fingers for some beautiful weekend weather so everyone can get out, grab a coffee, and marvel at these woolly masterpieces. It’s the perfect excuse for a weekend stroll with the family!

Make sure to take plenty of photos and tag the creators (Formby Yarn Bombers) to show them some love for all their hard work.

Mark your calendars! 🗓️ Saturday 20th June is officially set to be the next Summer day out for the whole family at The Grapes, Formby Pub starting from 11:30 am! All in aid of Anthony Nolan foundation organised by ❤️

First off - The Mayor of Sefton will be attending to open the festivities! 🎩✨

Rain or shine, the party is ON! ☀️🌧️ You'll either be outside enjoying the summer air weather permitting, but if the British weather does its thing, don't worry - they have given over the entire North Wing of the pub to keep the fun going indoors!

🚒 SEE A REAL FIRE ENGINE! The Formby Fire Service will be on-site for the kids (and big kids!) to explore.
🏆 KIDS WORLD CUP FANCY DRESS COMPETITION! Get those kits and creative costumes ready! ⚽

Join Make Noise for their annual Summer Concert, where both the adult and amazing youth choir, Make Noise 2, will be filling the stunning Oak Theatre at Scarisbrick Hall School with incredible music and rich harmonies. 🏰✨

They also have some very special guest performances lined up that you won’t want to miss!

Get ready for a a day of community spirit, music, and treats! 🌸✨

The SSt Peter's Church FormbySpring Fair is returning to Formby on Saturday, 16th May, and it’s shaping up to be the perfect afternoon out for the whole family (and yes, that includes your four-legged friends! 🐾).

From the sounds of the sixties to the smell of fresh hot dogs, there is something for everyone to enjoy in the beautiful Conservation Area.

Where: In the Conservation Area behind the Parish Hall, Paradise Lane, Formby, L37 7EH.

Seeing so many smiling faces makes these events so worthwhile. It was such a wonderful, high-energy day - and the epitome of what makes our community so special. We are still buzzing from the excitement and feeling so grateful to be surrounded by such amazing people.

The Formby Squirrels Community Club (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1777961619131509) is firing up the grill for their Butty Bar this weekend, and you’re invited! It’s the ultimate pitstop for a delicious breakfast and a catch-up with friends.

The best part? Every bite helps support Formby Befriending Scheme, a fantastic local service that makes a real difference in our community.

As the year draws to a close and the twinkling lights come out across our wonderful village, we want to take a moment to send our sincerest thanks and warmest wishes to everyone in our brilliant community.

What a year it has been! We've loved seeing so many of you connect, celebrate, and support local causes at all the amazing events hosted across Formby. Your energy and community spirit are what make this place so special.
