Imagine Formby is a volunteer-led Community Interest Company (CIC) set up to make Formby a more environmentally friendly, exciting, healthy and happy place to live, work and visit Imagine Formby is structured into four groups focusing on key areas that were highlighted in a community survey:

- Environment
- Art, Culture and Heritage
- Local Business
- Youth and Community

iMagineFormby will:

- Consult with and maintain communication with local residents, organisations and traders to encourage ‘ownership’ of developments.
- Work in partnership with Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council in seeking funds for projects, and integrating with Sefton Council economic regeneration policies.
- Seek partnerships with local schools, youth organisations and local community groups and societies to promote joint working
- Devise, develop, manage and implement exciting arts, cultural and community projects, raising funds to do so. iMagineFormby ethos:
- Operates through inclusion, collaboration and co-operation.
- Does not allow racism, sexism or any other form of discrimination.
- Refuses sponsorship from any unethical sources of finance.
- Is a safe, supportive, respectful, environment where all voices are heard, where people can share ideas and work together.

IT’S TOMORROW!!
After 11 months of knitting and crocheting, weekly get togethers in The Railway and laughing at ideas (and eating chips!), and the past 5 weeks stitching together all the displays - it’s finally here! 🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶
The team of bombers will be up at 5am putting all the displays up (and getting drenched doing it by the forecast 😱), but by about 9am it’ll be dry.
So please visit the village tomorrow and enjoy wandering around and seeing the displays, and visit the stall to say hi to the bombers. Plus, if you’re able, stop in one of our great independent shops or cafes and enjoy a ☕️🍪🥂🍺🍩🍰🥪🥯, as they play a huge part in making our village the wonderful place it is 😊😊😊😊

This time next week our yarn bombers will have been up for 3hours putting up all their displays 😱😱😱😱😱😱
As well as all the fab displays there will be a stall selling various handmade items such as this cheeky chap 😆.
Keyrings will be only £4!!!!
(Cash only, no card payment I’m afraid x)

Despite the heat 🥵🥵🥵 our dedicated ream of yarn bombers are stitching all the many displays together for Formby Yarn Bombing Day on Sat 6th June 🧶🧶🧶
There’s still a lot to do (😱) but they’ll make sure it’s all finished and out on display for everyone to enjoy 😊😊😊😊😊
They’re looking forward to seeing you all, so please stop at their stall and say hi 😉😉🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶
