Imagine Formby is a volunteer-led Community Interest Company (CIC) set up to make Formby a more environmentally friendly, exciting, healthy and happy place to live, work and visit Imagine Formby is structured into four groups focusing on key areas that were highlighted in a community survey:

- Environment
- Art, Culture and Heritage
- Local Business
- Youth and Community

iMagineFormby will:


- Consult with and maintain communication with local residents, organisations and traders to encourage ‘ownership’ of developments.
- Work in partnership with Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council in seeking funds for projects, and integrating with Sefton Council economic regeneration policies.
- Seek partnerships with local schools, youth organisations and local community groups and societies to promote joint working
- Devise, develop, manage and implement exciting arts, cultural and community projects, raising funds to do so. iMagineFormby ethos:
- Operates through inclusion, collaboration and co-operation.
- Does not allow racism, sexism or any other form of discrimination.
- Refuses sponsorship from any unethical sources of finance.
- Is a safe, supportive, respectful, environment where all voices are heard, where people can share ideas and work together.

Yes, our wonderful group of Yarn Bombers have had a few weeks R&R after this year’s Yarn Bombing Day and are ready to start all over again for 2027! 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
So if anyone would like to join them (and please don’t worry-all knitting and crochet skill levels are welcome 😊) they’ll be having the first of their “first Saturday of the month” get togethers this Saturday at 1030am in Dapa Bistro in the village👍🧶🧶
So why not pop in to say Hi 👋 and see if you fancy becoming one of the gang 😉🧶

Yes, yesterday certainly was an incredibly happy (and somewhat mindblowing day) for some of our who visited the amazing Cosby Yarn Bomb festival which runs over 3 weeks!!!!
It was certainly a ‘phew wot a scorcher’ day in the 33° heat, but they enjoyed every minute, wandering around the picturesque village being amazed at their displays!
Lots of ideas whizzing around the group now so watch out for Formby Yarn Bombing day 2027!!!!! 🧶🧶😂😂😂

Our wonderful yarn bombers have donated their knitted ‘Rhona of Cassidy’s’ to Cassidy's Greengrocers Formby as a thank you for all the support they’ve been given over these past few years 😊.
So, it’ll be on display all year round, so pop in and have a look and whilst you’re there, maybe treat yourself to some delish 🍓🍒🍇🍐🍏 and support one of our wonderful independent shops 👍
