⚓ Fleetwood Sea Cadets & Royal Marines Cadets – Parade Preparation

Tonight our cadets continued their preparations for Remembrance Sunday, focusing on parade discipline, smart turnout, and teamwork.

The Sea Cadets worked hard on their marching, timing, and formation drills, building confidence and precision with every run‑through.

The Royal Marines Cadets also stepped up their preparation, learning how to correctly iron and maintain their kit to the high standard expected on parade.

A strong effort from everyone

⚓ National Cadet Week – We Want to Hear YOUR Cadet Story!

Whether you were part of Fleetwood Sea Cadets or any other unit across the UK, your journey matters. Sea Cadets has shaped thousands of young people over the years, and your story could be the one that inspires someone to join today.

💬 Tell us in the comments:
- When you were a cadet — what years, what unit, what rank?
- What you’re doing now — career, family, achievements, anything you’re proud of.
- What Sea Cadets gave you — confidence, discipline, friendships, skills, qualifications.
- What you still use today — leadership, teamwork, navigation, drill, communication, resilience.
- Any old photos — uniform, parades, boating, camps, competitions, mess dinners… we want to see them!
- Your favourite memory — the moment that stuck with you for life.

🌟 Why share?
Your story could be the spark that motivates a young person to walk through our doors and start their own adventure. Many of today’s cadets look up to the generations before them — your experience can genuinely make a difference.

📸 Dig out those old photos!
If you’ve got pictures from your cadet days, post them below. Uniform changes, old badges, boats, camps — we love seeing the history of our units and the people who made them what they are.

⚓ Once a cadet, always a cadet.
We can’t wait to read your stories, see your photos, and celebrate everything Sea Cadets has given you.

Our brand‑new RMC Detachment officially launched tonight, with every cadet fully uniformed up and already getting their kit squared away to RMC standard.

Massive thanks to Detachment Sergeant Howarth, PSgt Scullthorpe, and PSgt Crocker for their leadership, guidance, and commitment in getting the detachment off to a flying start.

🌊⚓ FLEETWOOD SEA CADETS & ROYAL MARINE CADETS – WHAT A DAY! ⚓🌊

Yesterday (Saturday 3rd October) we had an absolutely fantastic Recruitment & Fundraising Day at Affinity Lancashire (Fleetwood Freeport) — and we couldn’t be happier with how it went.

A huge thank you to all our cadets, RMC cadets, volunteers, and staff who joined us and helped make the day such a success. Your energy, teamwork, and enthusiasm shone throughout.

We also want to give some special shout‑outs:

💙 Costa Coffee — for generously providing free hot drinks to our cadets for most of the day. Your kindness kept everyone warm and smiling.
💙 Skopes — for supplying refreshments and supporting our unit throughout the event.
💙 Kate Pollard & the Affinity Lancashire team — for inviting us to the Artisan Fair and giving us the opportunity to showcase what Sea Cadets & Royal Marine Cadets are all about.

And of course…
🛡️⚔️ A brilliant cameo appearance from King Arthur and his Knights!
Huge thanks to Thornton Cleveleys Operatic Society, who joined us in full costume while re‑enacting Monty Python’s Holy Grail. Their march alongside our cadets was a highlight of the day — and we’ve got the photos and videos to prove it.

📸 We captured lots of great photos and videos, including the march with King Arthur and his Knights — keep an eye out, we’ll be sharing more soon.

We’ll be back again next month, so come down, say hello, meet the team, and see what adventures await with Fleetwood Sea Cadets & Royal Marine Cadets.

Speacial Thanks to the Team who helped support on the day
PO Dempsey Snr - Boats Officer
PO Dempsey Jr - Chief Training Officer
PPO Potts - Juniors Instructor
PSgt Crocker - RMC Instructor
CI Smithson - Our Newest Instructor
PPO Hugman - Social and Recruitment

⚓ Thank you, Fleetwood — see you again soon! 🌊
