We were honoured to be invited by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire to the Lancashire Together Christmas Carol Concert at Marine Hall in Fleetwood this evening 🎶🎄

It was a wonderful evening celebrating the strength of our local community and the partnerships that make Fleetwood and Lancashire so special.

A few weeks ago OC Cumbria and Lancashire Wing had the pleasure of presenting WO Steve Brown with his 5th clasp for his Cadet Forces Medal 🎖️

The Cadet Forces Medal is awarded to recognise 12 years service by Commissioned and Non-Commissioned Adult Volunteers within each of the Cadet services. Each clasp thereafter is awarded for an additional 6 years service.

This means that WO Brown has committed at least 42 YEARS to the RAF Air Cadets!

He has seen multiple generations come through 1301 Sqn and has always been, and continues to be, a committed member of staff and a knowledgeable and supportive role model to other volunteers and cadets

Congratulations Sir and thank you 👏🏻

At the beginning of February, we hosted a JNCO Course for newly promoted and potential Corporals.

The Cadets learnt about the Role of a JNCO, qualities of a good leader, styles of leadership, communication skills and RAFAC Dress Regulations. This was followed by a session with the Wing Commander where the Cadets were able to ask questions about his role as OC Cumbria and Lancashire Wing.

On Sunday the Cadets got the opportunity to take on the role of team leader during various leadership tasks.

We hope all of the Cadets enjoyed the course and have gained some valuable knowledge which they can take back to their Sqns.
