‘Harbour Oysters’ is an initiative from Lottie and Poppy Johns, two sisters who are installing baskets of native oysters (Ostrea edulis) under pontoons and jetties to help clean the water and boost local biodiversity.

Our first 'scrub' of the season!
We are delighted to be working with to install 5,000 native oysters into their new home at Littlehampton Harbour.
Before they are installed the oysters must go through a biosecurity process - know as 'scrubbing' - for which we need your help!
Join us to help get these ecosystem super heroes ready to go in the water, where they will filter ~750k litres of water everyday, removing pollutants and supporting other marine life. In the summer months, they will breed to repopulate the endangered wild stocks, which were once abundant along our coastlines.
We will be hosting two sessions (1100-1300 and 1330-1530) on the 25th November - you can sign up via ticketsource.com; search 'habour oysters' or follow the link on our website.

THANKFUL THURSDAY ... we are excited to announce that the FatFace Foundation have generously donated towards two more sites for our 2026-27 season; one in Chichester Harbour and one in Portsmouth Harbour! We are so honoured to partner with such an incredible organisation.
