🎺 Eastbourne Silver Band is a friendly community brass band and proud to be Eastbourne’s town band. The music that the band plays varies greatly.

📅 Follow our page for concert dates, news, photos and videos from ESB 🎶 Eastbourne Silver Band is a traditional amateur, non-contesting, concert Band and is based in Eastbourne. The Band has a regular practice each Thursday evening, in St John's Parish Hall, from 8pm. The Hall is located on the junction of Meads Stree

t and Beachy Head Road (just along from Tesco and The Ship public house). The Band plays at numerous functions and engagements throughout the year. As the Band is self financing, a small charge is normally made for these attendances. All the players, office holders, and the Musical Director are volunteers and receive no monetary benefit from membership. They do, however, benefit from the friendship and enjoyment of playing together. The famous 1812 Overture, classical, modern, march and pop are part of the repertoire. Also included are specimen pieces especially written for the band by the current Musical Director and, of course, the ever popular Christmas Morning Concert of Carols and Christmas favourites. The Band consists of a wide and differing range of people. From pensioners to policemen, teachers to technicians, store men to students. The Band welcomes players of all abilities and from all walks of life. The Band currently has vacancies in all sections and would be pleased to hear from any brass players with an interest in joining.

🎆🎺 THE FINAL 1812 FIREWORKS CONCERT OF 2026! 🎺🎆

We’re delighted to be closing this year’s 1812 Fireworks season at Eastbourne Bandstand — and what a way to finish! 🎇

Join Eastbourne Silver Band on Wednesday 16th September at 8pm for a thrilling evening of live brass music, culminating in Tchaikovsky’s epic 1812 Overture with a spectacular fireworks finale! 🎺🥁🎆

The 1812 concerts are always a highlight of the Bandstand season, and as this is the last 1812 Fireworks Concert at the Bandstand this year, we’d love to see a fantastic crowd there to help us close the season in style!

🎺 Beachy Head Brass at Brass Band Summer School! 🎶

Made up of several Eastbourne Silver Band members — along with a couple of talented friends — Beachy Head Brass have been having a fantastic time at this year’s Brass Band Summer School!

Here they are performing 20th Century 20s, a brilliant new arrangement put together especially for them by our Principal Cornet player, Martin Bunce.

They’re doing us all proud and clearly having a great time together. Well done, everyone! 👏🎺

🎺 But I would play 500 miles… 🎶

Here’s a little clip from our version of 500 Miles at last Thursday’s Eastbourne Silver Band Summer Charity Concert — complete with some special ESB lyrics of our own!

This one gave a mention to one of the smiliest members of the band, one of our Eb Tuba players, Geoff:

Just to hear our silver band perform
And to see Geoff’s smiling face some more

It seemed to go down very well on the night — and Geoff took it in great humour! 😄

A huge thank you again to everyone who came along and supported the concert. We had a brilliant evening and were delighted to raise nearly £1,000 for our 2026 charities.
