Hi Everyone

My rescue Patterdale Cross Padraigh assisted by dedicated Kennel Assistant Barry drew this months winner of the Supporters of Stray and Abandoned Dogs - SoSad '100 Club' Draw winner at Deerness Kennels and cattery and rescue centre

The winning number for October's Draw was 32 and we will be letting the lucky winner Rachel know she is the winner this month. Rachel is one of our amazingly generous supporters who has asked that any winnings are donated back to help the dogs at the Centre.

Each number in the Draw costs £2 per month by standing order and each month you have a chance to win a whopping £100!!

The money raised by the monthly draw goes to help dogs looking for their forever homes at the Centre.

SoSAD, our small charity with a big HEART, helps pay for the vets fees for the Dogs awaiting their forever homes at the Centre. Over the last 3 months these vet fees have totalled over £5000!!

The team at Deerness are doing an amazing job looking after and arranging treatment for so many dogs and finding so many dogs their forever homes, 64 so far since April!!

SoSAD are so proud to support the amazing work the Rehoming Centre does thanks to your ongoing support.

Let us know if you would like to join the monthly '100 Club' Draw.

We as a charity as so, so proud to be able to support the amazing team at Deerness Kennels and cattery and rescue centre.

It's wonderful Happy Ever After stories like these that make the teams hard work and dedication all worthwhile. And it's only through your generosity, kindness and support that we are able to continue to support such amazing transformations and make a real difference to the lives of Dogs awaiting their forever homes.

Since Charlotte, Stephen and Lynn took ownership of the Rehoming and Rescue Centre back in April over 64 Dogs have found a Happy Ever After story of their very own.

Wow! That is such an incredible achievement!! Here's to the next 64! And remember, it's only through your continued kindness, generosity and support that we can continue to make a real difference.

Thank you so much from

Hi Pup Pickers

A huge THANK YOU once again to Pets at Home for their absolutely BRILLIANT Pets Club Lifelines scheme where very generous customers nominate Supporters of Stray and Abandoned Dogs - SoSad as their chosen Charity.

This means that each time they spend a donation goes towards our Lifelines total! This quarter we received Lifelines of over £230 from the at Home Foundation. Wow!! If you have a Pets At Home Card or the App you can nominate our charity as your chosen Charity. It's that easy!!

It was great to introduce Padraigh, my Rescue and SoSAD's Deputy Dog Affairs Officer, to the team at Pets At Home Durham, Mercia Retail Park 8n Durham. He was like a kid in a sweet shop, literally!!

We would also once again like to say a big THANKS VERY MUCH to Stephen, Lynn and Charlotte the new owners of Deerness Kennels and cattery and rescue centre for arranging this trip to Pets at Home so we could redeem those Lifelines and buy lots of healthy foods for current and future Dogs waiting to find their Furever Homes at the Centre!!

We also met up with friend and supporter of SoSAD, Alan Hutchinson who very kindly donated a couple of huge bags of Wag dogfood for the dogs waiting for their forever families at the

Stephen was a brilliant 'Chauffeur' for all of the food in the Centre's van to go back to Deerness.

The store manager at Pets At Home Durham even had some more Dog food to be donated. We were all blown away by everyone's generosity!

Woof, Woof!

Hi Everyone

WOWZER!!

Charlotte is going to do a Sponsored Skydive on Valentine's Day 2027 for the 💙 LOVE 💙 of the Dogs at Deerness Kennels and cattery and rescue centre to raise funds for Supporters of Stray and Abandoned Dogs - SoSad.

The monies raised will help us care for even more Dogs waiting to find their forever homes at the Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

We don't know how Charlotte fits all this in!
Charlotte, her Dad Stephen and Mum Lynn have already rehomed, with the Charity's help, 64 Dogs since they took ownership of Deerness earlier this year! Blimey!!

Please, please consider donating to Charlotte's JustGiving page for this truly incredible fundraising effort for our small charitywith a big HEART!

Charlotte is definitely a high flyer in more ways than one when it comes to making a real difference to the lives of Dogs awaiting their forever families at the Rehoming Centre.

Why not dedicate your donation to the one you love, especially with it being Valentine's Day, whether that's a human or a fur baby!

💙🐾Meet Rambunctious Roman who is ready for his fresh start🐾💙

Apologies for getting Roman's name wrong previously! He looks more a Roman than Bruno, I think it's the nose!!

Roman, is lovely & friendly and has just arrived at the Rehoming Centre and is looking for his forever home. Could that forever home be with you?

Every dog deserves a loving family tocall their own. We're hoping that very special someone is out there.

If you think you could offer 4 year old Roman the forever home he's been waiting for, please contact Deerness Kennels and cattery and rescue centre.
