🌸 Last Call for Mother’s Day Sale Donations!

We are collecting final donations tomorrow and Thursday, ahead of our Mother’s Day Sale in school this Friday.

All items will be sold for £1, giving children the chance to buy a small gift for their mum or a special woman in their life. It’s always a lovely moment seeing the children choose something meaningful to take home 💝

If you have any new or gently-used gifts you could donate (such as toiletries, candles, or accessories) we would be very grateful.

📦 Donations can be handed to your child’s class teacher or dropped off at the school office.

Hoping you’ve had a lovely half term!

In a couple of weeks, it’s our annual Mother’s Day Sale (13 March) … and we’re looking for donations of gifts for women, so the children can choose something special for their mums/mams/mamas, grandmas, or loved ones 💝

If you have anything suitable we’d be very grateful for your donation! Candles, chocolates, mugs, small gift sets, anything you might like to receive yourself! 😊

📍 Items can be dropped into the school office or given to any member of the Friends of NX Committee in the yard after school.

TONIGHT – Valentine’s Disco! 🎉❤️ 🎶

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has bought tickets – your support makes such a difference, for these extra events and activities to our children’s Neville's Cross Primary School and Nursery’s experience ✨

🍬 If you’re able to send your child with a few extra pennies, we’ll have sweets and Valentine’s treats available to buy at the disco.

We’re excited to see everyone later!

Good morning, we are excited to announce that tickets for the Friends of Neville's Cross School, Durham Valentine's Disco will go on sale at 7pm 29.1.26! Places are limited so please don't delay in booking them.

We will be operating two discos.
4:30-5:45pm A disco for Reception, Years 1, 2 and 3. We kindly ask that any parents of children in Reception will stay onsite for the duration of the disco. Refreshments will be provided while you wait.

6:00 - 7:15pm A disco for Years 4, 5 and 6.

Tickets cost £4 and include a drink and snack. The Friends will also be selling additional treats and merch that children can buy on the night if they choose to. More information to follow!

If you are able to help on the day of the disco either to decorate the hall beforehand or be an extra pair of hands to supervise and serve snacks, we would really appreciate your help! Please get in touch with Abi Knowles, Chair of the Friends of Neville's Cross School, Durham

🎟️ Please return ticket stubs and payments to school by Wednesday, or make your ticket payment on Arbor by Wednesday. The raffle will be drawn on the last day of term.

🎄✨ Christmas Raffle! ✨🎄

Hopefully a Christmas Raffle book arrived home a week or two ago?

We know Christmas can be an expensive time, so there’s absolutely no obligation to take part. But, if you do fancy getting involved — or selling a few tickets to family, friends or neighbours — we’ve got some fabulous prizes up for grabs! 🎁👇

There’s still a week to return ticket stubs and payments, so no panic if the tickets have ended up under a bed, behind the sofa or in that one mystery place where everything disappears! The raffle will be drawn on last day of term.

Whether you’re able to get involved this time, or not - thank you for supporting Friends of NX. Every little helps make magic happen at school ❤️🩶

Great news! It seems we all still love last year’s festive knits just as much as we did the first time around …

Because we’ve had no donations of pre-loved Christmas jumpers into school this week, our planned jumper sale on Neville's Cross Primary School and Nursery yard won’t be going ahead.

But it’s a lovely reminder that rewearing and reusing are always in style! 🌍❤️

🎄 Found an old festive jumper in your Christmas sort-out? 🎄

Send it into school this week (pop it on a hanger if you can!) and let it be part of our Pre-loved Christmas Jumper Swap!

From next Monday, 8th December, rails of Christmas knitware will be in the yard for you to browse. Grab a new-to-you one, drop a donation in the honesty box if you can, and ‘tick’ — festive outfit sorted without the faff (or the cost!)

Fun, easy, planet-friendly… and one less thing on your to-do list 🙌✨

Make your old Christmas jumpers happy!

Did you know 1 in 4 Christmas jumpers are worn one time, and then forgotten or thrown away?

Give yours a second chance by donating it to the Friends of NX Pre-Loved Christmas Jumper Sale.

Next week bring your no-longer-wanted jumpers into school with a hanger, and then 8th-12th December you’ll be able to choose from pre-loved jumpers on clothes rails in the yard, and donate what you can in our honesty box.
